Silk and Spitefulness Achievement Guide (Contains Spoilers)

Hey everyone. Since I've had a really hard time with this achievement "Silk and Spitefulness" and I didn't really find an accurate guide on what the main points are to look out for, I decided to check in the code and see if I can give you a little walkthrough for anyone struggling with this achievement!

I will provide:

Who to encounter, where.
The Dialog ID
Any Requirements - Please not that my use of and / or is relevant in some cases. Sometimes you need all the listed requirements, sometimes one of them is enough
First Line of Text of each Dialog, marked as Spoilers. This can either be a line from Melinoe or their Dialog Partner - I did not specify, but I mean you see who pops up first.

Additional Notes:

Yes, I looked into the code to figure out how to unlock this achievement. If you consider it cheating, just don't read the post. You can figure it out on your own, it might just take a bit longer.
Im unsure on when exactly you can start this Quest since I didn't look that deep into the Code, but I did it after completing the Main Story (First Credits) but before the Epiloge/Achievement: Golden Age (Melinoe, Seek Us Minor Prophecy)
Please keep in mind, that other events may trigger other dialogues first. So for example if you encounter Hecate while you have your Vow of Rivals active, she might instead prioritize a dialog that has to do with that. Or if you encounter Athena after doing a Surface run, she might have dialogue referring to Prometheus etc. Doesn't mean that you are missing a requirement for the specific Subquest Dialog you need - just means that the game has different prioritization rules. If the correct dialog didn't pop up, just lose the run and try again. The order will stay the same.

And yes: This exact same guide can be found on reddit. I am the original owner. Just had to reformat it a little bit for steam.

After an unknown amount of Arachne encounters, Arachne talking about gods, etc. you will get the first dialog to start this subquest:

1. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutPride01"
Text: "Should I have held back? When I was challenged by the gods themselves? To decide who was the greatest weaver of all. I was just a mortal girl. Can you imagine the pressure?"

2. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutPride01" and Friendship 3 with Arachne "ArachneGift03"
Requires: Dialog: "ArachneAboutHecate02" or "ArachneWithHecateInHub01" (not mentioned in this post.).
Text: "My friend, I truly hate to ask, but you don't suppose... knowing your craft, you don't suppose there might still be some way to turn me back into myself again, do you?"

3. Talk to Hecate in Hub - Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse01"
Text: "Headmistress, there must be something we can do for Arachne. Her curse torments her. What use is our craft if we cannot ease a friend's suffering?"

4. Encounter Hecate as Boss in Underworld Run - Dialog: "HecateBossAboutArachne01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne01"
Text: "You are preoccupied with that Arachne's curse! I know about it, yes. The remedy is no straightforward feat."

5. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse02"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse01" and "HecateBossAboutArachne01"
Text: "Arachne, I... I wasn't entirely forthright with you before, about your curse. Theoretically, there is a way that it can be undone. But it is unlikely to work, and shall be very dangerous."

6. Talk to Hecate in Hub - Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne02"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateBossAboutArachne01"
Text: "Can you help me discover who created Arachne's curse, if it wasn't Athena herself?"

7. Talk to Hecate in Hub - Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne03"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse02" and Friendship 3 with Hecate "HecateGift03"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne01" or "HecateAboutArachne02" or "ArachneWithHecateInHub01"
Text: "Concerning your companion Arachne and her curse: Against my better judgment... I've done some searching, and have knowledge of the one who fashioned the poison."

8. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse03"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateAboutArachne03" and "ArachneAboutCurse02"
Text: "Regarding your curse, Arachne... Headmistress discovered who created it. So, if you require closure on this aspect of your life... come visit at the Crossroads. But, such knowledge may be a curse all its own, so... choose carefully, please."

9. Encounter Arachne (with Hecate) in Underworld Run - Dialog: "HecateWithArachne01_FollowUp"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneWithHecateInHub02"
Text: (you see Hecate Disappearing) "Another customer already! You just missed the great big witch. Not often that I'm honored with her presence. Next you see her out there, give her a good one for me, would you? Hm ha ha ha..."

10. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse04"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateWithArachne01_FollowUp"
Text: "...Are you all right, my friend?"

11. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse05"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse04"
Text: "Arachne, we need to talk about what happened with Headmistress. She didn't fashion a poison expressly to ruin your life. She didn't even know you at the time."

12. Encounter Athena in Surface Run - Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "HecateBossAboutArachne01" and Friendship 2 with Athena "AthenaGift02"
Requires: Surface Run (so just to be safe, encounter Athena after City of Ephyra Bossfight, so Stage 2 or even Stage 3)

Text: "Lady Athena, by your leave... we have a mutual acquaintance I would ask about, because... well... do you recall the weaver Arachne?"

13. Encounter Athena (Underworld or Surface not specified - so both is possible, for example with Keepsake) - Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne02"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne01" and Friendship 3 with Athena "AthenaGift03"
Requires: at least 3 Runs since Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne01"

Text: "The mortal woman called Arachne. Have you any idea what she did? She fancied herself the greatest weaver in the world; superior even to me, if not the Fates themselves. Is it not our obligation, then, to remind mortals of their place?"

14. Encounter Athena (Underworld or Surface not specified - so both is possible, for example with Keepsake) - Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne03"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "AthenaAboutArachne02" and "ArachneAboutCurse05" and Friendship 5 with Athena "AthenaGift05"
Text: "Your thoughts about Arachne are causing you distraction, which in turn is causing me distraction now. I would propose a means by which we could put this matter with her to rest."

15. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneCurseQuest01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneAboutCurse05" and "AthenaAboutArachne03"
Text: "Arachne, now that we know Headmistress Hecate had a hand in your curse, there is some possibility we can persuade Athena to undo it. Or rather, you could."

16. Encounter Arachne in Underworld Run - Dialog: "ArachneCurseQuestComplete01"
Requires: Previous Dialog: "ArachneCurseQuest01"
Requires: Athena Keepsake

Text: "I have Athena's Amulet, Arachne. Would you be willing to confront her now? Just, speak to how you've changed, how you wish to have your old self back! Whatever she requires."

Ive only got this one and vanity left. They never had the "right" dialogue to continue this. Its so boring when all other has been done in the game. I just run bottom side to get these two achievments and im done... Over and over again.
Good guide though but my dialogues are still different after hours of running.
