Hades 2 100% Achievement Guide
By JerichoDukes
Hades 2 is a roguelite action role-playing game with 50 achievements. This guide will help you earn all of them. I have tried to make this guide as spoiler-free as possible, but due to the nature of some of the achievements it cannot be entirely spoiler free.

- Difficulty does not affect achievements.
- Estimated achievement difficulty: 7/10
- Offline Achievements: 49 (All)
- Approximate amount of time to 100%: 75+ hours
- Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 80+ runs
- Missable achievements: None

Since Hades 2 has no missable achievements, I would recommend completing a run without any specific goals in mind first. Once you've done that you can start aiming for certain achievements.

Any tips the community is willing to share in the comments is appreciated!

Witch of the Woods
Clear Erebus

Successfully beating the first floor boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Depths
Clear Oceanus

Successfully beating the second floor boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Plains
Clear the Fields of Mourning

Successfully beating the third floor boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Abyss
Clear Tartarus

Beat the final boss. For early access players, a win in v1.0 is required.
Witch of the Outskirts
Clear the City of Ephyra

As you progress through the story, you'll start to learn about a war on the surface. Eventually, Hecate will give you a specific incantation called Permeation of Witching-Wards. Completing this incantation will allow you to start a new route of floors on the surface.

Successfully beating the first surface boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Waters
Clear the Rift of Thessaly

Successfully beating the second surface boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Mountains
Clear Mount Olympus

Successfully beating the third surface boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement.
Witch of the Clouds
Clear the Summit

Successfully beating the final surface boss and leaving the room will earn you this achievement. For early access players, a win in v1.0 is required.
Death to Chronos
Complete the lifelong task of the Princess of the Underworld

Once you defeat Chronos and talk to Hecate you will unlock the incantation Dissolution of Time. This will require 5 of his drops and entropy, which you get from defeating Typhon. To unlock the incantation to defeat Typhon, keep defeating him and talk to Hecate after each night. Eventually you will get Disintegration of Monstrosity, which drops the item you need to defeat Chronos once you defeat him one last time.
Golden Age
Reach the epilogue of the story

After completing the base game, you will start trying to find the fates. Their prophecy will continue changing, so make sure you're looking for the next steps. Eventually, you'll need to speak to a collection of characters about the fates:
  • He Who is Our Emissary - Moros
  • They Who Created the World - Chaos
  • He Who Cast Us Out - Chronos
  • She Who Trained You - Hecate
  • He Who Rebels Against the Gods - Prometheus
Once that's done and you need to find them you can:
  • Equip Moros' keepsake, get to Oceanus.
  • The first room you encounter enemys you kill all of them BUT ONE, let him kill you->you have 10 seconds time to clear the room before dying so cleare the room.
  • Do this three times.
  • The fourth time you let yourself die without fighting back and you should get the epilogue cutscene.
Another way to approach it is:
Popping the Athena keepsake for Erebus and getting her boon that lets you have a death defy that recharges every room but primes your magic. Using death defies will still let you get the epilogue cutscene.
So Mote It Be
Cast 50 Incantations at the Crossroads Cauldron

This will come naturally as you progress through the game. Incantations are necessary to progress the story and upgrade various aspects of your character/companions.

If there is a specific incantation that you've been unable to trigger, you can see all of their prerequisites on the Hades wiki, but most should unlock through natural progression: https://hades.fandom.com/wiki/Cauldron
Infinite Possibility
Clear 20 Chaos Trials

Chaos Trials are one floor challenges that become available after completing the "Abyssal Insight" incantation. Each trial requires you to use a provided loadout to clear the floor. Each trial has its own difficulty rating, and they range from very easy to challenging. If you're having difficulties with a specific trial I would recommend searching for a clear video, but their approaches are usually straightforward.
Chaos in Hell
Clear the 'Great Chaos Below' Trial

The randomized Chaos trials will unlock once you have every keepsake and weapon aspect unlocked. Great Chaos Below requires you to do an entire Underworld run with 20 random Fear from vows, a random weapon, and random keepsake. Good luck!
Improbable Outcomes
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Improbable Outcomes'

Clear two randomized Chaos trials back to back. I would recommend the 0 fear ones.
Elysian Glory
Prevail in the Contest of Champions

Post-game in Charon shops there can be an infernal contract. Claiming it sends you to the arena in Elysium with a secret boss. Thanks everyone for the info! I hope to add more specifics to this section shortly.
Hand of the Fates
Fulfill 60 Minor Prophecies

Once you complete the Incantation 'Fated Intervention' (available early on in the game after finding a Moros) prophecies will become available. The next achievements will all be various prophecies and their requirements.

In addition to the following specific prophecy achievements, there are a lot of familiar prophecies from the first Hades. Get all the boons for each god, all the duos, etc. This should come naturally as you progress through the game, and make sure to check your list after each run for new prophecies!
Bearing Dark Gifts
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Bearing Dark Gifts'

Fully clear a run with every weapon aspect, either Chronos and Typhon work for this. Thanks _biggoodeeny for this info!
Unfinished Business
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Unfinished Business'

Raise your relationship with Odysseus until you get a prophecy to take his keepsake to Polyphemus and Scylla once, and to Circe twice and then let Odysseus speak to them. This prophecy starts when Odysseus is drunk in the tavern, so make sure to keep checking there for him if he's not at his usual post on the right side of the Crossroads.
Haunted by the Past
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Haunted by the Past'

Recover Dora's lost memories. This is done by progressing her relationship far enough and speaking with the third surface boss enough times.
Soundest of Sleepers
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Soundest of Sleepers'

Give Hypnos as much nectar as possible, and talk with him any time he has new dialogue. Eventually you will be able to give him dream vapors but fail to wake him.

Afterwards, visit Medea on the surface to unlock an incantation for enhanced dream vapors. This will also fail to wake him. Visit Medea again for a final 'End Dumbest Slumber' incantation to wake Hypnos and complete the prophecy.
Silk and Spitefulness
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Silk and Spitefulness'

Once you progress Arachne's relationship far enough, you will get a dialogue before the Hecate boss fight about reversing her curse. Hecate tells you that you have to discuss it with Athena and find out who made the curse. Continue forcing dialogue with Athena (on the surface, or in Underworld regions where she's been summoned before), Hecate, and Archane to progress this prophecy. Eventually you will learn that Hecate made the poison for the curse, and Arachne and Hecate will have a couple of dialogue about this. You then need to talk to Athena until she agrees to meet Arachne with the Gorgon Amulet.

Thereafter you will need to speak with Arachne multiple times, preferably while holding the Gorgon Amulet. However, if you enter Erebus with the Gorgon Amulet and no Death Defiances, you will force an Athena encounter which locks you out of meeting Arachne for that run. In order to meet with Arachne properly you must have at least 1 Death Defiance active (Toula should work). It will take multiple visits with the Amulet equipped in Erebus and speaking with Arachne to complete this storyline.

Thank you Arlieth for the detailed breakdown on this!
Voice and Vanity
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Voice and Vanity'

The second Underworld NPC is Narcissus and the third is Echo. You need to continue talking to them as often as possible and eventually Narcissus' waters will become murkey, and he will go visit Echo.
Denizens of the Depths
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Denizens of the Depths'

Catch 20 different fish with the rod of fishing. Each region has unique fish and this will unlock naturally over time.
Unrivaled Prowess
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Unrivaled Prowess'

Defeat all bosses under the Vow of Rivals. Once this unlocks you will have to beat the first surface and underworld boss, then the second ones, etc. Meaning this will unlock across 8 runs and will be a good opportunity to get your night's champion rewards.
Sword of the Night
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Sword of the Night'

Defeat the final boss on the surface route with all six weapons.
Arcana of the Ages
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Arcana of the Ages'

Defeat the final boss of the Underworld Route with each Arcana card active (cumulatively, does not need to be in one run).
Born to Win
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Born to Win'

Visit Chaos with their Embryo keepsake (I believe maxed out) and you will get a prophecy to bring it through an entire run without changing it. Completing this run will finish the prophecy.
Natural Talent
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Natural Talent'

Defeat Hecate with no arcana active in the Altar of Ashes.
Breadth of Knowledge
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Breadth of Knowledge'

Unlock all of the Arcana cards at the Altar of Ashes.
The Arms of Night
Fulfill the Prophecy 'The Arms of Night'

Unlock all six Nocturnal Arms in the training room.
The Unseen Sentinel
Fulfill the Prophecy 'The Unseen Sentinel'

Gather all aspects of the Nocturnal arms. While most aspects are unlocked via crafting at the waking pool, Thanatos' axe requires you to give a nectar to Chaos and get the waking phrase. For the hidden aspects to unlock, you must meet the following critiera:

  • All other aspects of the weapon have to be unlocked.
  • One aspect must be Level V.
  • Speak to the Waking Phrase giver (always the weapon's second aspect namesake).
    • Staff = Circe
    • Sister Blades = Artemis
    • Umbral Flames = Moros
    • Moonstone Axe = Charon
    • Argent Skull = Medea
    • Black Coat = Selene
  • After receiving the Waking Phrase, you must interact with the Waking Pool (the center of the weapons' dias).
  • Purchase the initial forging of the weapon with materials.
It is possible that you need to be holding a level 5 of aspect of the weapon when speaking with the waking phrase giver and have a non-Mel aspect of the weapon fully upgraded to level 5 as well.
Familiar Confidant
Fulfill the Prophecy 'Familiar Confidant'

Talk to Frinos in the Crossroads after a run across 6 different runs.
Sentimental Value
Collect every Keepsake

Similar to the first Hades, the first time you give an NPC a gift you will get a keepsake in return. Collecting them all will get you this achievement. Similar to Hades 1, you won't get them all until post-game.

The three post-game keepsakes are:
  • Jeweled Pom - Hades and Persephone, in the NPC room in Tartarus where you usually found Hades.
  • Calling Card - Zagreus, 2 wins at Elysium arena (same as 'Elysian Glory').
  • Time Piece - Chronos, in the room immediately after the Hecate boss fight. If he isn't there, clear both routes.
Close Comrades
Forge a bond with 10 comrades

Continuing to give gifts to NPC's will raise your relationship with them. You can give them one gift each time you see them. At specific points on their relationship track you will need to give them specific items (lures, bath salts, ambrosia). Once you reach a specific point in their track a bond will form, and you'll unlock their portrait by their keepsake in your box.
Soothing Soak
Take one of your comrades to the Hot Springs

Once you complete the "Rite of Vapor-Cleansing" incantation you will unlock the Hot Springs in the Crossroads. Giving a companion bath salts will trigger a cutscene and give you this achievement.
Catch of the Night
Take one of your comrades to the Fishing Pier

Similar to the hot springs, you can give a companion a twin lure to go fishing with them. This will require the rod of fishing (crafting it requires the "Night's Craftwork" incantation to be complete).
Ambrosia for Two
Take one of your comrades to the Taverna

Once you complete the "Rite of Social Solidarity" incantation you can purchase and gift ambrosia to your companions in the crossroads. This will be required later in their relationship tracks.
Animal Whisperer
Recruit all Animal Familiars

Recruiting familiars becomes available once you complete the incantation "Faith of Familiar Spirits". Once you have created a Witch's Delight, you will be able to give them to an animal once their specific requirements have been met. There are five animal familiars that you can recruit in Hades 2, with the following criteria:
  • Frinos, the Toad - No requirement, just give him the delight where you spawn in to the Crossroads each night.
  • Toula, the Cat -
    • Visit the docks between the City of Ephyra and the Rift of Thessaly more than once.
    • Successfully catch a fish using Rod of Fishing at least once.
  • Raki, the Raven - Visit the fountain room in the Erebus at least once
  • Hecuba, the Hound -
    • Hecuba can begin appearing after the following conditions are met:
      • Attempt the mission on more than 12 nights.
      • Nemesis must not be present in Echo’s room.
      • Unlock the Bravery of Familiar Spirits Incantation.
      • Spend at least 3 Witch's Delight (lifetime total) on upgrading Animal Familiar abilities.
    • To recruit Hecuba, the following additional requirements must be fulfilled:
      • Recruit other Familiars: Frinos, Toula (this may not longer be accurate).
      • Use Frinos’ ability to compel a Lost Soul at least once.
      • Use Raki’s ability to gather outcroppings at least once.
      • Unlock the Bravery of Familiar Spirits Incantation.
      • Spend at least 4 Witch's Delight (lifetime total) on upgrading Familiar abilities.
      • Hecate grants Mel permission to recruit Hecuba
  • Gale, the Polecat -
    • Gale can begin appearing after the following conditions are met:
      • Attempt the mission on more than 12 nights.
      • Unlock the Bravery of Familiar Spirits Incantation.
      • Spend at least 3 Witch's Delight (lifetime total) on upgrading Animal Familiar abilities.
    • To recruit Gale, the following additional requirements must be fulfilled:
      • Recruit at least three of the other Familiars: Frinos, Toula, and Raki.
Thank you to the Hades Wiki for having these steps clearly documented! The 1.0 patch notes mention reducing the requirements for some of the animals (likely Hecuba and Gale). So not all of their requirements may be needed now. I'll try to update as I learn more.
Beast Master
Fully upgrade all Animal Familiars

In addition to using Witch's delight to recruit new animal familiars, you can also strengthen your bond (their abilities) in the training room. Each animal ability has three upgrades (four total levels) each. Maxing them out will get you this achievement.
Unfamiliar Forms
Alter the appearance of each Animal Familiar

Circe will grant you the ability to change your familiars' forms once you have fully upgraded your pets. You will get a specific dialogue from her about her being impressed by how well you've taken care of them and she'll unlock the incantation.
Behold Night's Champion
Earn the first Gift of the Veil

Similar to the first game, Skelly has rewards if you manage to clear both the Underworld and Surface routes on progressively higher heat values. This will be unlocked once you:
  • Obtain the Oath of the Unseen and inspect it.
  • Complete the Underworld route 5 times or more.
  • Complete the Surface route at least once or more.
The first gift requires 8 fear in the underworld and 6 on the surface.

As far as actually clearing this difficulty, I suggest using a weapon you are comfortable with and pick vows that you find the easiest. While this will vary for everyone, I personally valued playing safe builds (like the knives with the Aspect of Pan for range). Additionally, if you plan to climb to higher heats, I suggest playing with the Vow of Time (9/7/5 minutes to clear a floor) to get used to moving quickly. Vow of Rivals (harder variant bosses) is another greater contender as you can get 12 fear maxing that out, and it only makes one room harder for the full floor.
Mercy, Night's Executioner
Earn the second Gift of the Veil

The second Gift of the Veil requires 16 fear in the Underworld and 12 on the Surface.
Fair Fight
Earn 1,000 Gold competing against Nemesis

While progressing through the Underworld route, you can randomly encounter Nemesis. One of her events is to compete with her for more kills, and the winner gets gold. An easy way to beat her is focus on low health enemies that you can quickly kill, especially if it denies her a kill. She will one-shot anything she hits, so avoid chipping away at larger enemies and allowing her to take them. This is a cumulative achievement and does not count progress retroactively from early access.
Sheep's Clothing
Slay a Sister of the Dead while afflicted with Twilight Curse

During the Hecate fight in the first underworld floor she will launch a hex at you that temporarily transforms you into a sheep. A Sister of the Dead are the ghost enemies she summons during this phase. Once you've been transformed into a sheep run over to a tree, attack it, and get a terrain kill on the sister.

Familiar kills and hex kills (Total Eclipse works well with the delay) will also count, thanks for the info BΛBES and Arlieth.
Breaking Up the Band
Use Night Bloom to raise a Siren

Night Bloom is the hex you can get from Selene that allows you to raise a fallen enemy to fight for you. This hex works during the Siren fight in Oceanus and has some special dialogues as well. Use the hex once you kill one of the Sirens!
Dressed to Kill
Reach the final confrontation in an Arachne outfit

You have a chance to find Arachne (friendly spider NPC) in the first floor of an Underworld run. She will give you a dress that stays on your character until you lose all of your armor. You need to get to the final boss of the run without losing the dress/armor. I suggest picking the highest armor dress offered to you, and wearing the Silken Sash keepsake from Arachne to constantly gain more armor in each room. Hephaestus boons that give armor also make this easier.
Mind for Magick
Gain 30 Grasp at the Altar of Ashes

The Alter of Ashes is Hades 2's version of the Mirror of Night (meta progression). You will use Psyche (gathered by room rewards, the Tablet of Peace/Frinos, boons, and other sources to gain grasp. 30 is the maximum.
Unassailable Insight
Fully upgrade all Arcana

There are 25 different Arcana cards available in the Alter of Ashes. Each card has three upgrades that require various materials. Later upgrades typically require boss materials, so this will take a while to unlock.
Giving Back
Earn 10,000 Kudos

Kudos are earned by trading in items with the Wretched Broker in the Recycling Service. Kudos can be used to change the appearance of the Crossroads.
Goddess of Nightmares
Earn all other Achievements

The last one you'll get, enjoy the journey!

about silk and spitefulness:

you don't need a death defiance in order to meet arachne, you can easily do it while encountering athena at the same run in erebus, the "lock" that Arlieth mentioned is just pure luck, you willl have some runs that the "helper npc room" (like circe or medea) just don't show up, no matter what you do.
JerichoDukes  [author] 3 hours ago
Thank you Arlieth for the big breakdown on Silk and Spitefulness! I've reworked that achievement and credited you!

I've also updated Unfinished Business to include Odysseus' tavern position.
"Unfinished Business" Achievement. What am i doing wrong?
I figured it out. Im going to stand 10 toes down on why im mad, In my almost 90 hours of this game, doing almost every achievement, doing ALL other NPC side quest. He's the only one who moves form his oriignal spot in the cross roads for his quest. EVERYBODY else didnt do that. And since he was my last side quest i assumed the phrase "get acquinted with old comrades" or whatever meant i had to go do runs to make that happen. Like EVERY other NPC quest.

Author please update and include how to progress Odysseus friendship so other dont have to wonder whats wrong.

Answer: When you get to the part of the friendship when he 'dissapears' for a few runs and cant find him. Hes at the tavern getting drunk. Need to talk to him there.

iatemysocks

Though i appreciate you clarifying that you dont need max relationship for the achievement, Im still lost on 'how'. Do i need to talk to other NPC's? Do i need to equip certain weapons/keepsakes? His progression for how close i can get to him has been at a standstill and nothing i have done has changed it.
iatemysocks 10 hours ago
You don't need max Circe for Unfinished Business. I got it, and I still don't have Circe maxed. Also, for Bearing Dark Gifts, you don't actually need to BEAT Chronos or Typhon, just arrive at the fight with each of the weapon aspects. So if you really suck with one, at least you don't need to beat the boss with it. Just get through the rest of the biome.

"Unfinished Business" Achievement. What am i doing wrong?

Odysseus relationship is as far as it goes. Its stuck on "may be interested after he settles up with a few old acquaintances"

Circe is max relationship. I visited her several times with his keepsake, no dialogue about it.

Ive went to the Oceanus boss fight several times with his keep sake, no extra dialogue of the keepsake.

Completed the prophecy of bringing his keepsake to the Cyclops (the firts boss fight on the surface).

I dont know what else to do. Not sure what else to do

I just did know Fair Fight it took about 70 hours or 80 encounters +-
Daniel 17 hours ago
Fair Fight isn't retroactive (from Early Access), each "fight" for coins gives 100, so just keep running, encountering, and beating Nemesis until the achievement pops (got mine a few nights ago)
Alvarenga-CAP 20 hours ago
I have 190 hours in Hades 2 since EA and have beaten Nemesis in her competition several times, and still Fair Fight hasn't popped up yet. Any guesses for how to actually get the achievement?

Note about Silk and Spitefulness:

Once Hecate spills the beans on the nature of the curse, Athena can be spoken to outside of OIympus (surface OR underworld) as long as you summon her in a zone that you've already done so. The very first time she will comment on the region she was summoned to; the second time she can discuss Arachne. You need to talk to her until she agrees to meet Arachne with the Gorgon Amulet.
