Introduction
Welcome to this guide!

You might have realized that this DLC is HUGE.

I made this guide to better organize the information the community has been finding, since it's difficult to keep track of everything right now and there's just so much content to go through.

There will be heavy spoilers throughout the guide. I will not be using spoiler tags in this guide. If you want to go through the content yourself without being spoiled, you can safely navigate the "Starting Tips" section for some useful tips to play through the content.

Let me know if you have any comments, corrections or requests.
Starting tips
Where is wheatflour wonderland?
One prerequisite to start the DLC is having Kuromi at level 8 and having done the quest that unlocks the cauldron.

In order to access the DLC new content, you need to start the new quest line with Kuromi, "Potion Problems". Then you'll be able to access the new area through Hello Kitty's Cafe.

Free friendship blossoms
Hello Kitty gives you three friendship blossoms to get started with the Cogimyun friendship, so no need to save these up!

Remember Top Hat
Use Top Hat as a companion for a chance to pick up double items! Especially for gems, but also jemmies, shimmersand and noodle grass, it'll come in handy.

Remember Hello Kitty
when giving Cogimyun gifts, remember to have Hello Kitty as a companion, so you get the friendship bonuses. If you can have a second companion, use My Melody as well. You'll need all the fairy dust you can have...

You need Wish me Mell's friendship at level 16
At an early point of the story quests, Cogimyun will request you to craft a flower crown. You need Wish Me Mell at level 16 to be able to craft this. It might be a bug or an issue that could be corrected on the coming patches, but for now be aware you will not be able to progress very far before unlocking this craft recipe. Thank you to Jaciopara for pointing this out.

Use your island bouquets
Some gems, Jemmies and Shimmersand tend to be scarce, so use any island bouquets you may have to collect more gems.

Catch 10 critters of each
Make sure you catch at least 10 of each for a later quest. Also, remember to catch as many Flowls as you can during the Flourfall weather to gift Cogimyun up to level 16.

DO NOT open locked chests
You might come across some chests that can be opened with a gem. Do not open them yet! You will need 5 gems of each to craft wands that are necessary for progression.

The chests contain wheathearts, which don't seem to be story relevant, they only seem to unlock clothes and other fluff items. You can unlock them at a much later point.

Once you have collected 6+ gems and crafted the wands, then you may start opening the chests.

And last, but not least...

Opals and diamonds are extremely rare
DO NOT spend them on chests! Save them up. You'll miss them sorely if you do.

If you find any Diamonds or Opals lying on the floor, I'd advise you to save scum to get doubles through Top Hat:

  1. DO NOT collect it and save your game
  2. Call Top Hat as a companion
  3. Grab the gem and see how many you got
  4. If you only got 1, quit your game and reload.
  5. If you got 2, congratulations! You've successfully save scummed.
Accessing the new areas
The DLC has three main areas.
You access them after attaining certain friendship levels with Cogimyun and doing her respective quests.

Tier 1
The first one is where you meet Cogimyun. You need to level her up to level 8 in order to have access to the second area.

Tier 2 - Periwinkle Park
The second one you can unlock once you unlock wands (Cogimyun level 8). The new area is behind a wall. You'll need several gem wands to fully access it.

Tier 3
The third area you'll unlock at Cogimyun level 16. That's when you'll unlock critter wands. You'll need a Flockadoodler wand and a bunch of other wands in order to access the full area.
Walkthrough: how to get access to the new areas
== WORK IN PROGRESS ==

In the beginning, many areas are locked. It'll take several days for you to unlock them all.

If you are overwhelmed by the huge new area, focus on doing the Cogimyun quests and raising her friendship. You need to raise her friendship to level 8 ASAP.

That's the quest you want to unlock.

How to get past the colored walls

After a while, you'll run out of owl statues to use, but some walls will still be up.

If you are stuck, the answer will be wands.

Wands
You get Wands after the Cogimyun friendship quest at level 8.

Craft any wands you may be able to, but don't worry too much about having them all. Your quest for wands will get much easier after you get to level 11 with Cogimyun.

Once you craft the wands, you can use their respective color to shoot the walls away.

Access to Area 2: Periwinkle Park

You need to have crafted all wands except citrine?, opal and diamond.

There will be a large wall to the northeast you can break with your wands. You DO NOT need opals or diamonds to progress, though you need the other wands.

At some point, you will find Ebi Fry and unlock the first mini game. You can find some furniture and rarely, gems in the minigame. I don't recommend you try to farm diamonds or opals though, they come up pretty rarely. I've seen reports of people farming 100+ time the minigame and getting none.

Do not try too hard to find Opals or Diamonds yet. They are a reward from the hard minigame, but they are very rare. You might want to wait until the second minigame, which unlocks at level 20.

Access to the third tier area

You'll need critter wands, which unlock at level 16. Then you'll need to craft a Flockadoodler Wand.

Each critter wand requires 10 critters and 50 fairy dust. Careful with the crafting order, you'll likely run out of fairy dust (which you only get from Cogimyun as gift rewards).

You need to go through several pads. This is the pad order:

  1. Flockadoodler
  2. Flourflap
  3. Fluffny
  4. Flirb
  5. Flockadoodler again
  6. Flouster
  7. Flowl
  8. Flubby
  9. Flider
  10. Flovern
  11. Ballooper

If you're willing to do some "parkour" and bypass some areas, you can get to the top area of the tier 3 much faster. Here's what you'll need to craft, in that order:

Fluffny => Flockadoodler => Flirb => Flowl => Flovern

Some people reported being able to reach it with less. In any case, the flockadoodler is absolutely necessary.
Diamonds and Opals
They're a bit of a nightmare to get 5 of each.

!! DO NOT open any diamond/opal chests before you've got 5 of each and made the wands !!

If you do find one on the ground, you might want to save scum with Top Hat - see if you get 2, if you don't, close and reload your game.

You can get some diamonds and opals by doing certain tasks:

1) Solving the bell puzzle

You get two opals and one diamond by solving all melodies.

Repairing all broken lamp posts

You get two of each by repairing all lamp posts. I have a map with (some) locations below.

Reaching the top of the Tier 3 Area

You'll find a diamond on the fountain. In order to get there, you need several critter wands: to the very least Fluffny, Flockadoodler, Flourflap. Flirb and Flovern.

And other ways to obtain them:

On the floor

They are a rare spawn of gems found on the floor every day. Cf. the gem spawn map for possible spawn points.

Mini game rewards

Reportedly more common on Cogimyon's game. Very rare spawn on Ebi Fry's hide and seek.

Remember to use Hello Kitty as a companion for the friendship bonus, and My Melody for extra fairy dust.

Her liked tags are:

Puzzles - using the owl statues
Owl statues act as gem wands

You can use the owl statues to "shoot" at some colored walls and lamp posts.
You also need to use Jemmies to repair the broken posts.

Use the Y button to shoot the beam.

The owl statues hold gems that determine their beam color and shape. In some statues, you need to insert a gem.

In other statues, you'll need to spin them so they hit their target.

spin with the A button

Once you have destroyed the wall, remember to reclaim the gem you had inserted. You'll probably need them later.
Puzzle solutions: Bell Garden Puzzle
Complete this one for 1x diamond and 2 opals in total.

There are several puzzles in Wheatflour Wonderland. Most of them will reward you with Wheat Hearts.

Maps
The following sections will contain several maps. Not all of them are up-to-date.

Now the Wiki has a pretty neat and complete map, I recommend it:

Map - Gem Locations
Gems generally appear on fountains, stairs and other locations throughout the map and Periwinkle park.

Which gems you get are random. Opal and diamonds are particularly rare.

Here is a map with some known gem spawns.

Map - Broken lamp posts
Repair them all for 2x diamonds and 2x opal.

You can talk to Basmati the owl to find out how many lamp posts you have yet to repair.

Here are some broken lamp posts I could find. Some information might be wrong and it's definitely incomplete. I'll update as I get more info.

Area 3
Critters and weather - Starfall and Rainfall
There are a couple of critters who are notoriously difficult to catch because of the weather.

Flooper Ballooper only spawns at night during starfall.

Flovern only spawns during rainfall (any time of the day).

If you're having trouble getting either starfall or rainfall, there are a couple of ways you can go about it.

Be patient (and idle)
Pretty self-explanatory. Leave the game running in the background with Kiki and Lala as companions. It may take several hours if you're unlucky.

Use the weather machines (and save scum)
This one requires you to have done advanced quests in the main game, but it is a neat little trick.
  • Craft a rain island stone (for rainfall) or a Star Island Stone (for starfall)
  • Activate either the Aquafaller (in Rainbow Reef) or the Celestree (in Cloud Island)
(the Celestree can only be activated at night)
  • If you didn't get Wheatflour Wonderland, close the game without saving and try again.

If you don't want to save scum, be aware that you can only activate the machine once a week.
Map - Critters
Here are the maps of the critters found in the 3 main areas.

You need 10 of each critter for a later quest.

For Fliders and Floverns, use the Bubble Wand to catch them.

Click on the images for full resolution.

Area 1

You can only find Flowl during Flourfall (any time of day).

Area 2

Area 3

Use a bubble wand to catch Fliders.

You can only find Flovern during Rainfall (any time of day). Use a bubble wand to catch them.

You can only find Flooper Ballooper during Starfall (at night).

Mini game guides
You unlock minigames after the Cogimyun level 11 friendship quest. You'll be able to find Ebi and play the hide-and-seek minigame.

Ebi Fry: hide and seek
The Ebi Fry minigame is the best place to find the gems in the early game to craft your missing wands (especially citrine).

If you're having trouble finding Ebi, just take a screenshot or take a picture of the first room to cross-check it.

Check for small details, like things on shelves/beds, clusters of items etc. Sometimes it takes a bit, luckily you have no time limit.

Cogimyon: find Cogymion
This one is a doozy. You need to find the critter that is moving on a different pattern than the others. It's very often hard to spot.

Here are some patterns that can give him away. Credit goes to Blue for all the info, videos and pictures (thank you Blue!)

Pattern: ”Can’t stop, won’t stop!!”
Moving all the time and will not stop, until you catch him or the time runs out.

Pattern: ”FREEZE!!”
Will stay at the same spot all the time, until you catch him or the time runs out.

Pattern: Tumble around
Tumble sideways, backwards, any direction, until you catch him or the time runs out.

Pattern: Edge to edge
Will go edge to edge and never stop in the middle or somewhere else, always edge to edge

New Resources, Recipes and crafts
Resources

Noodle grass - you can find them in the southern area of the map.

Gems - you'll find them all over the map in the first and second areas.

Jemmies - you can find them all over the map.

Fleck - you get them by completing island challenges. Use Pompumpurin and Pochacco for gold Fleck.

Wheat flower - you can harvest them in the southern area. You can make them into seeds and plant them in the greenhouse, but so far they don't seem to breed into new colors.

Shimmersand - found in periwinkle park. You'll need those to craft stained glass.

@Lilith re the weather in WW, it's a common problem to be unlucky (I myself am still waiting for starfall after almost 50 hours in the DLC)... But there's a couple little "trick" you can use to force the process. You either wait (essentially idle the game) with the twins as companions or you can use the Aquafall Machine and save scum. I'll post the details under "map - critters".

About a map with Arches, I have just checked and a very detailed map has recently been published in the wiki! I'll see if I can link it here and take a screen cap. They seem to be more complete, too!

Thanks for the guide, it's been super helpful! I seem to be having trouble getting rain so I can catch the Flovern. Is there a way I can spawn rain here or is it all up to luck (and I've just been very unlucky)? Also, would it be possible to get a map with the locations of all the gateways you have to go through after transforming? I've done all the critter ones available to me but I just recently unlocked the item wands and it's driving me crazy trying to find all the item arches and what items I need for the wands :/ Thank you again for all the work you've done!
hani  [author] 25 Sep @ 11:01am
Ah drat! That makes a lot of sense, and it can't even be helped since there's no way to help with increasing her friendship yet... I'll add a warning on the walkthrough, thank you for the pointer! And yeah Wish me Mell just takes FOREVER to level... if it can be of any help, there are a few giveaways for three star gifts for WMM on the discord, so you can get there a bit faster.
jaciopara 24 Sep @ 8:11pm
Hi Hani, re: previous comment, apparently this has been reported as a bug multiple times in the discord so hopefully they'll do something soon
jaciopara 24 Sep @ 6:21pm
Hi Hani! the quest is A Heart of Grain and the recipe is Flower Crown, unlocked at lvl 16 friendship with Wish Me Mell ^u^)7
the quest unlocked when mell was lvl 12 for me and then got stuck because I cant get the flower crown recipe yet, there was no indication in the quest that they wouldnt be giving you a recipe :( i also noticed that mells friendship lvl might be glitching as its barely going up when I give her the fav gifts + hello kitty boost. Idk if its just me having that issue though.
hani  [author] 23 Sep @ 1:00pm
thank you for the comment and for the suggestion! May I ask what's the recipe or the quest? I don't think I've encountered that problem before
jaciopara 23 Sep @ 12:40pm
tysm for this!! only suggestion is maybe add a note as warning for anyone else, i got stuck at a quest with cogi/mell because of a recipe locked behind friendship levels, i thought they were going to give me the recipe during the quest :( now im stuck for probably a week before i can get cogimyun to do anything else.
hani  [author] 21 Sep @ 8:40am
Removed the solution to the bell puzzle #1 as per a developer's request on the discord server. That solution is not yet available as of now.
hani  [author] 20 Sep @ 6:50am
Edited to add critter maps!
hani  [author] 20 Sep @ 5:43am
@Ajunka merci pour l'info ! J'ai pas encore ajouté les BDs, mais si j'ai le temps, je le ferai. :2018salienpsychic:
