Intro
If you already know how to do these and are looking for a grid with all the colors you can make you can just skip to them using the guide index!

YOU NEED TO HAVE DELUXE TO DO THIS. Unless you want to do the dithering by hand.
Two color mixing
First you have your base color, in this case its yellow.
Then with the paint bucket selected you want to press R once to switch to the dither pattern with your other color.

You can also use the fourth pattern to add less of the second color.
Press or hold R to cycle through patterns.

Two Color Grid

(this was not made by me, original painting link Here[www.differentstrokes.xyz])
Three color mixing
First you want a base color, in this case its yellow again.
Then you want to use the FOURTH pattern for your next color (blue is used here)
(reminder you can scroll through patterns holding or tapping R!)

For your last color (purple is used here) you want to use the FIRST pattern on the base color.

The last color you use will be the color that is the most prominent compared to the other colors.
Three Color Grids
This Section is very long so uh, warning for that.
How these grids work is you have the base color above the grid (labeled base), the next color on the left (labeled 1^) and the last color on the top (labeled 2>)
Click on the images for a better view as the dithering looks off in normal view.

Bonus tips
You can also get interesting textures/colors/shading through overlapping the other patterns, one way to do this is the global fill but my favorite way is the lasso tool.
You can use the lasso tool when the paint bucket is selected and holding Q then drawing your shape.

You can also use the global fill tool to easily mix your colors at once if you have multiple spots you want that color.

If you have multiple colors with the same base color you want to global fill, you can use a color that you dont plan to use for your piece as a "placeholder" color. Global fill makes it easy to change it to the color you want later after you finished adding your patterns.

You can press P for the pause menu while painting.

The switch in the deluxe canvas room can be used to switch between 3 different canvas you can paint on.

And thats about it!! hopefully it makes sense, Im not the best at explaining things haha
You can do so much more with custom patterns and all that but these are the basics ^^
If theres anything anyone thinks I should add lmk!
