Kestral-Class Assault Fighter

Designed for frontal assaults on frigates and gun platforms, the Kestral Class has excellent frontal armor and a large armament. Multiple redundancy systems throughout the ship allow the ship to soak up massive amounts of damage before being completely knocked out of the fight. While not the best dog-fighter in the fleet, the Kestral can hold its own against hostile fighters, as long as the pilot keeps his lightly armored rear pointed away from trouble.
