Guide to Dump Stats
By Retr0_
Hi everyone,

A little while ago, I shared a detailed guide on Reddit covering the ideal dump stats for every melee and ranged weapon in the game. Following a great suggestion from the community, I’ve now turned it into a Steam guide for easier access.

You can find the full guide in the Google Sheet linked below

If you find it helpful, or have any feedback or suggestions for changes, feel free to drop a comment. I’ll be updating it as needed.

I'm also working on a comprehensive guide to melee combos for hordes and single targets hopefully this will be published soon!

Stability could be considered i do believe most dump stats are situational i mainly use the bolt gun for disposing of bosses so collateral works great here, stability would be a solid option if used as a horde clearer. :yellowcat:

I am a Spearhead Boltgun fan for Zealot, (and others) and I've tried different options here, and now I'm starting to think a better dump stat is Stability, because when firing down range Collateral is greatly desired for the hoards.

I know you are busy to make updates, so just wanted to thank you again.

It might be cool for the guns that are multiclass to expand the table so that there is a column per class because it might be different choices are better dumps depending on the class.

And this would be great in the guide section!

I would say Quelling Speed is a better dump stat on staves than Warp Resistance.

Most psykers using staves will be using talents that scale on peril, like Warp Rider and One With The Warp, and the Warp Nexus bless is one of the most powerful crit blesses a staff can have, and it also scales with Peril Having high Warp Resistance makes it harder to explode while at high peril, while lower Quelling Speed makes it easier to avoid over-quelling and reducing the benefits of your scale-on-peril talents.

Unlike Force Swords and Force Greatswords, which only generate peril on their special actions and thus don't present much risk of explosion, staves generate peril with literally everything they do. Having a shallow peril generation curve makes the weapon more controllable than having one that spikes with every action and immediately spikes back down with quelling.

Great resource! One comment on shotguns, also maybe depending on class but.... Ammo is also a good dump stat it does not vary by what seems to me a shell or two, and stability might come in handy for the hits.

Hey thanks for clarifying. Also, I think the Ogryn Power Maul is missing, but I'm going to guess Penetration or Defences! :)

So a dump stat is a stat on a weapon that isn’t very important for how you use that weapon — so you don’t need to care if it's low.

For example:
If you have a melee weapon that's great at killing single enemies (like bosses), then stats that help with fighting big groups (like cleave) might be considered dump stats — because they don’t help much with what the weapon is best at.
