Welcome to the achievement guide for Judge Dredd!

This guide is here to help you earn all 30 achievements in the game and attain 100% completion.

The story itself is pretty straightforward and should only take a couple of hours to finish. Like with other gamebooks, the casual difficulty setting is basically cheat mode, since you can choose to flawlessly pass every combat encounter and skill check, which makes it easy to round up any missing achievements after you've played through the story.

With all that out of the way, let's begin!
Achievements - part 1
Hardcore Win
Find the ultimate ending in Hardcore mode


Win
Find the ultimate ending in any mode


Earned by simply beating the game. The game has two difficulties: classic (hardcore) and casual. As mentioned in the intro, casual difficulty is basically a free win, since you can just skip all the dice rolls and move to whatever page you want. Even classic difficulty is pretty easy, since you always have infinite bookmarks to save-scum your way through the encounters.

As with other gamebooks by Tin Man Games, the completion achievements don't stack, meaning you need to complete the game separately on casual difficulty to unlock the Win achievement.


Housewarming
Get to know all of Sector House 106


Right at the beginning before you start your patrol, you can visit any three areas of the Judge headquarters to help prepare yourself for the day by getting some free stat boosts:
  • Firing range (+gun skill)
  • Armoury (+gun skill)
  • Mess hall (+vitality)
  • Sleep machine (+vitality & fitness)
  • Briefing room (mission intel)
  • Garage (+bike skill)
Just visit each area at least once across all your playthroughs.


Lawgiver Expert
Achieve a Lawgiver Skill of 10 or above


Easily done by visiting the firing range and armoury (see above).


Health Kick
Find all the Vitality bonuses


Easily done by visiting the mess hall and sleep machine (see above).


Lucky Roller
Roll two sixes in a single roll


Unlucky Roller
Roll two ones in a single roll


Should be obvious enough, but either the description is wrong or the achievement is buggy. You need to roll at least three sixes or three ones for the achievement to pop. Since you'll be rolling four dice at once during close combat encounters, this feat shouldn't be too hard to achieve.

Tip: As the dice are about to settle after a roll, click anywhere to 'tilt' the table and reroll the dice. This can also be helpful for salvaging a bad roll during combat or a skill check, or to mess with your opponents' rolls.


Bounceback
Use ricochet rounds


Nowhere to Hide
Use armour piercing rounds

Bootstrapper
Use your Bootknife


There are many spots throughout the story where Dredd can use specialized ammunition (or his knife) during combat encounters. This can happen either through player choice when given the option, or automatically as the needs of the situation dictate. You're almost certain to earn these achievements without even trying simply by playing through the story and fighting perps.


Sharp Shooter
Kill three perps in one move


During various encounters with armed perps, you will be given an option to try and shoot all enemies in a single action, or just limit yourself to 1-2 targets. Picking the 'shoot all' option will require passing a more difficult skill check, but in return you will pulverize all targets and earn the achievement. Remember that you can save-scum skill checks as needed.


Skysurfing USA
Ride a powerboard


Begin your shift by patrolling the Samuel Walton Shopping Promenade. You will encounter a purse snatcher fleeing on a powerboard. Either have HQ track him down via cameras, or chase him down yourself (if you have the intel from the briefing). Both options will result in you commandeering a powerboard from a nearby store.


There and Back Again
Enter Harridges from the front and back


When responding to the call about a mall robbery, you have the choice of entering via the front or back entrance. The second option will only be available if you attended the briefing earlier. This achievement will require two playthroughs (or just save the game before the decision, reload and pick the other option).


Gambling Risk
Take down a gambling den


After you start performing public strip-searches on random people (perks of being a Judge!), you will spot and follow a woman down an alley. Enter the 'stacker' building in the alley, which turns out to be a gambling den. Fight through all the inhabitants to earn the achievement.

This one is slighly buggy and can only be earned if you shout and run after the woman straight away.


Throw a Percy
Be responsible for the destruction of a pot-plant


During the gunfight with the three perps in the insurance company (located in the same alley as the gambling den), pass the skill check to dodge their shots, which will miss and destroy a pot-plant in the office.


Health Hazard
Arrest a perp for breaking health regs


After the previous encounter, you're given the option to 'crime blitz' the Tom Clancy apartment block. Do so, and investigate the noise coming from one of the apartments, then choose to arrest the man living there.


Rapelling Pro
Abseil down a building and through a window


Instead of doing the crime blitz, ask HQ to identify nearby known perps at the plaza. Choose to investigate the Tom Clancy Ryans street gang, which will lead you to a drug den. Choose the option to enter the drug den by rapelling down from the apartment above.


Mr. Cannibal Creosote
Take down a cannibal with a large appetite


After dealing with the disturbance at the university, you will be given the option to respond to a call about a drunk on Kerry Walk. Do so, and investigate the murder scene you find there. This will lead you to a cannibal nearby. Either arrest or kill him for the achievement.
Achievements - part 2
Monster Hunter
Kill two unusual creatures


There are two combat encounters with monsters in the game. One happens during the mall robbery early in the story, if you choose to check the menagerie (through the home furnishings department). The other happens when you get a call about suspicious activity on Cooper Street (same time as the call about the drunk on Kerry Walk). Choose to investigate and you'll find a cat monster.

You don't have to fight them both in the same playthrough.


Seconds to Comply
Take down a Robot


After dealing with the previous encounter (Cooper Street or Kerry Walk), you are given the option to respond to a call from a Jeff Bridges Dudes gang member about vandalism on Trueman street. Head over there and you will encounter a giant robot digging up the road. Take it down.


Mass Arrest
Arrest 5000 perps in one go


Right after the previous achievement, choose to track down the fake gang member who made the call about the robot, then choose to crack down on the university Rag Week event by arresting everyone involved. Then pass the skill check.


OAC Skittles
Accidently knock down a group of old folks


Instead of responding to the call about vandalism, choose to deal with the punks harassing old people in the Ken Dodd sheltered housing block. Head over there, then choose to run to the citizens' aid. You will slip on the sidewalk and crash into them, earning the achievement.


Lawmaster Kick
Successfully pull off a Lawmaster Kick


When checking out the disturbance at the Andy Warhol Complex, choose to drive your bike straight up the pedway, then charge at the gang of thugs on your bike and deliver a kick to knock out the final perp. Requires passing two skill checks.


Cunning Plan
Find all the blueprints


There are two blueprints that you can find late in the game to help you with disarming the nuke at the climax. The first is located in Max Hardware's industrial facility, which you can investigate after finding Max dead in his penthouse. The second is found in the bomb maker's workshop, which you can investigate after visiting Jackson Faire's apartment.

You don't have to find them both in the same playthrough.


Stick to the Brief
Kill or arrest all perps connected to data from the briefing room


Choose to visit the briefing room at the start of the game and deal with all the perps that are somehow related to any of the names mentioned. There are 5 encounters that count towards this:
  • mall robbery near the start of the game (connected to the McJoe gang)
  • insurance company in the alley (a front for the Gonzotti mob)
  • woman in the hoverchair (aka the Roadway Killer)
  • zizz dealers in the drug den (connected to the Ripper gang)
  • bank robbery at the end (Jackson Faire)
Two important notes here. First, this does NOT have to be done in a single playthrough. Second, the encounter at the insurance company is a bit buggy. It won't count if you kill the final perp right away. You need to fail the shootout roll, and then kill the perp.


Voices of Dredd
Find all the mysterious VoD devices


You can find these devices on various individuals after certain encounters:
  • skysurfers (at start of patrol)
  • Rudeboys (at start of patrol)
  • shoplifter (at jewellery store)
  • juvenile perp (at crime blitz)
  • university students (at Rag Week event)
  • zizz dealers (at drug den)
  • Clarissa Mooks (at her apartment)
  • Faire's gang (at his penthouse)
You will find a few more as part of the story. You do NOT have to find them all in a single playthrough (the first two are mutually exclusive anyway).


Easy Rider
Visit all active locations in Sector 106


You'll earn this achievement by simply visiting every possible location in the game. This will require multiple playthroughs. Doing all the achievements above should get you about 90% of the way there. The only ones that could still be missable at that point are:
  • Junk shop - in the same alley as the gambling den and insurance company.
  • Thorwinkle's apartment / Thorwinkle's lockup / Honest Joe's repair shop - these options all appear after your encounter with the Roadway Killer.
  • Santos' workplace - available after investigating Max Hardware's warehouse.


Record Finder
Find all the perp records and data


Similar to the Easy Rider achievement above. Just deal with all the criminals in the story to unlock their gallery entry in the game menu. This will require multiple playthroughs.

You will likely earn this while hunting for the other achievements, but there are a few that might give you trouble:
  • Danny Fitzpatrick (row 4-1) - when approaching the Andy Warhol Complex, use the circular road, then check out the suspicious parked car nearby and foil the robbery.
  • Jackson Faire (row 2-2) - this entry is slightly buggy; it will only unlock if you choose to target him first during the final confrontation at the bank; simply blasting everyone or forcing them to surrender won't work.
  • Jonas Tuko (row 1-2) - follow the guide for the Mass Arrest achievement, but fail the skill check and charge at the angry mob, then pass the following skill check.

Find all the illustrations
