Who is this guide for?
One of Hundred Line's selling points is that it features 100 different endings, and experiencing these all these endings adds up to almost 200 hours of gameplay. For some of us, that's a great thing. You might think, "200 hours of storytelling from two legends in the visual novel genre? Sign me up!" If so, this guide is not for you. Play the game at your own pace and have fun!

For others, though, a 200 hour game is a daunting prospect. If you feel that way about Hundred Line, this guide is for you!
What does it mean to "beat" Hundred Line?
Technically, there is no "beating" Hundred Line, outside of exhausting all its content. You will first roll credits upon completing your first playthrough, which is a fixed story. This story is designed to raise more questions than it answers, and stopping here will not give you much satisfaction, nor a sense of closure. You are meant to play further storylines to get the answers you seek (and discover more questions to chase.)

There is no canonical ending to the game. Each ending represents one possible way the story could unfold, and players are meant to explore and uncover the game's secrets one story at a time.

That said, there are two endings that wrap up the overall story in particularly satisfying ways: Ending 1 and Ending 55.

Ending 1 takes about 50 hours to reach (including the first playthrough.) Its storyline resolves most of the mysteries that the first playthrough introduces and culminates in an ending that feels thematically appropriate. I recommend Ending 1 for everyone, including those who want to push for Ending 55.

Ending 55 is more involved, as it requires you to reach 5 other endings to unlock its full storyline. It takes about 100 hours to reach (including the first playthrough and Ending 1.) The path to Ending 55 introduces and resolves several new story elements and mysteries. I recommend Ending 55 for those who want to experience most of the game's major story beats and highlights.
Routes vs. Endings
While the game does feature 100 endings, several endings are minor variations on the same overall story. There are 21 "routes" in the game, each representing a major divergence in the direction of the story.

In this guide, I will start by telling you which choices you need to make to get on the proper route for the ending(s) you are targeting. This is for players who want to explore a little bit within each route rather than beelining for the recommended endings. (Just recognize that this exploration may add a few hours to your playthrough.)

I will also provide you the choices you need to get to each of the recommended endings. This is for players that want to "beat" the game as efficiently as possible.

Each choice is spoiler-tagged, so that you can choose to reveal the choice when you reach it in-game. I've also tried to phrase each choice to give away as little as possible, while still being unambiguous.
Ending 1 (~50 hours)
Ending 1 has a whole route to itself, so the route choices match the ending choices.

To reach Ending 1, make the following choices:
  1. Spare (Day 2)
  2. Reveal (Day 3)
  3. Save Second-to-Last (Day 8)
  4. Reveal (Day 11)
  5. Kyoshika (Day 15)
  6. Take prisoner (Day 21)
  7. Let it happen (Day 31)
  8. Save Gaku (Day 33 during battle)
  9. Of course! (Day 52)
  10. No (Spare) (Day 57)
  11. Kill (Day 63)
  12. Keep fighting (Day 77)
  13. Accept (Day 82)
  14. Yes (Day 100)
Ending 55 (~100 hours)
Ending 55 requires 5 other endings (34, 36, 72, 76, and 100), which are spread across three routes. The order you go through these routes doesn't matter. I'll list them in the order I went through them, which worked well for me.

Endings 76 and 72 Route (Route name: Slasher Route)
To get on this route, make the following choices:
  1. Kill (Day 2)
  2. Leave (Day 4)
  3. Kick (Day 16)
You are now on the correct route for these endings.

Ending 76
To reach this ending, make the following choices:
  1. Dodge (Day 43)
  2. Yes (Day 73)
  3. Stay (Day 100)

Ending 72
To reach this ending, make the following choices:
  1. Jump (Day 43)
  2. Hiruko (Day 73)
  3. Nozomi (Day 100)

Endings 34 and 36 Route (Route name: Box of Calamity Route)
The route for these endings branches off from the Ending 1 route on Day 21. To get on this route, make the following choices:
  1. Spare (Day 2)
  2. Reveal (Day 3)
  3. Save Second-to-Last (Day 8)
  4. Reveal (Day 11)
  5. Kyoshika (Day 15)
  6. Kill (Day 21)
  7. Shadowy figure (Day 22)
You are now on the correct route for these endings.

  1. Turn to face (Day 23)
  2. Help Sirei (Day 49)
  3. Gaku (Day 73)

Ending 100 Route (Route name: Mystery Route)
To get on this route, make the following choices:
  1. Kill (Day 2)
  2. Don't leave (Day 4)
  3. Don't join (Day 25)
You are now on the correct route for this ending.

Ending 100
The choices for Ending 100 require you to correctly deduce the identities of major actors in the storyline. The list below does not include any names or hints. After you guess incorrectly, you can check the in-game timeline for the correct answer. To reach this ending, make the following choices:
  1. Guess correctly (Day 50)
  2. Guess correctly (Day 75)
  3. No (Day 75)
After Day 82, you will reach a story lock that will stop you from progressing further on this route. Proceed to the Ending 55 route for now.

Once the lock is released, you will need to make one more correct deduction, and then you will reach Ending 100.

Ending 55 Route (Route name: Steady-Fundamental Route)
It's finally time to get to the ending we've been building towards! To get on this route, make the following choices:
  1. Spare (Day 2)
  2. Don't reveal (Day 3)
  3. No (Day 9)
You are now on the correct route for this ending.

After Day 23, you will reach another story lock that will stop you from progressing further on this route. Reaching this story lock will unlock the Ending 100 story lock. Go back and finish Ending 100, and the Ending 55 story lock will release.

Ending 55
To reach this ending, make the following choices after the story lock is released:
  1. Coming-of-Age (Day 50)
  2. Heads (Day 71)
  3. No (Day 85)
  4. Basement (Day 100)
