Instructions
The normal method is:
  1. Set the game in Mono Mode - in your Steam Library, right click on Farthest Frontier -> Properties -> General -> Selected Launch Option -> Mono or Ask When Starting.

  2. Subscribe to a Mod - done via steam workshop. This downloads the mod.

  3. Launch the game (in Mono) and then exit it - this copies the mod to the game directory.

  4. Relaunch the game (still in Mono) - this allows the mod to be loaded into the game.

  5. Check the MelonLoader terminal that opens with the game to see if the mod is present.

  6. [OPTIONAL] Some mods come with configurable options. After launching a mod for the first time, the config options will be created in [Steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\UserData], either in [MelonPreferences.cfg] or a custom file. After quitting the game, you can edit these with any text editor, such as notepad. Relaunching the game will make the mod load with those values.

If step (3) doesn't work, you can manually install a mod that you're subscribed to. Go to [Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\1044720] and look through the folders there for [MOD_NAME.dll]. Copy it to [Steam\steamapps\common\Farthest Frontier\Farthest Frontier (Mono)\Mods].

Add was working great, started a new map today and it shows in yellow instead of green in the Melon Loader. Once the game opens it is not active. Any advice?

@siebert This isn't a mod, so I'm not sure what you're expecting to download here lol

Although I've subscribed to this mod, in the Steam Workshop, it doesn't download and install it. It also doesn't show in Steam downloads or MelonLoader unlike other mods i.e. Mineral Spawner & Animal Spawner. Can I manually download the file from another source in order to manually install it? I'm running the release version 1.0 of the game in Mono mode. Thanks.

Using any mods will disable achievements. There is, however, a mod that re-enables them.
will installing mods impact achievements?

Anyone knows how to get mods running on Linux?

@IAmApple Are you sure you're in the Mono folder? AFAIK, the game should automatically create a mod folder for you, but if it doesn't, then it should be fine to do so yourself
