Old "Fix"
Old "fix" that was posted on the Steam Guides is just disabling the fog without any fixing what so ever.
The other way to actually fix the fog is to switch to DirectX 60-80. But it causes a lot of different issues, from broken lighting smoothing and broken sprites, to game crashes and transparent textures not working.
Real Fix
To actually fix the fog for Sin Episodes you have to get DgVoodoo.
DgVoodoo emulates working of the old graphics cards and will fix the fog rendering on modern PCs.
