How to open the Console

This guide explains you how to fix the "tilde" ~~~~~~ key (used to open the console) if it isn't working.

How to open it in game
If you tried to open the console in game by clicking the ~ key and it didn't work, then follow the next steps to fix it:

  1. Download USA's keyboard/language pack for your computer;
    If you're using windows 8, it should appear on your taskbar:



    Click on it.





  2. Just pick USA's Keyboard and install it!
  3. Activate it on your taskbar.

This is where the Tilde Key ~~ is located on a US keyboard.




In game
Press the ~~ Tilde key and it should open the console!
If not, follow the previous step's instructions.


If you have followed them and can't open the console by clicking ~ then when you launched the game your language pack has probably returned to it's default.

WAIT THERE'S A WAY TO CHANGE YOUR LANGUAGE IN-GAME

Just press your windows key + enter until you select the correct language and it should do!

Es geht auch einfacher.

Wenn Ihr das Deutsche Spiel habt.
bei TypKey könnt Ihr z.B. = F12 eingeben
und bei ConsoleKey z.B. = auch F12
unter Win 7 64 Bit alles beides in Ausrufezeichen setzten = "F12"
Abspeichern.

Dann das Spiel starten,
In den Lan Modus gehen
am besten bei PunkBuster den Haken rausmachen, ( Hat bei mir Fehlermeldung vom PunkBuster gebracht)
dann einfach die F12 Taste drücken
jetzt öffnet sich die Console
hier z.B. den Server eingeben z.B. open 104.153.104.205 und Enter drücken.
Mit F12 Taste die Console schließen.
Dann solltet Ihr auf das Map Solarfarm kommen.

if using german keyboard do it the easy way: if tilde (~) wont work, try (ö) instead, to open & close the console!
(but the settings for defaultinput.ini are the same as above)
