Set your resolution

You have to set the resolution in the config. It has to match your desktop resolution. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\IL 2 Sturmovik 1946 - Conf

Enter your own Resolution displayed in your gpu Driver.
Use OpenGl.

This fix works fine on my Win 11 Pro machine, I have no idea why it doesn't work on other computers, If I had to guess it's likely an issue with newer hardware.

yeah it seems to not work with most modern systems which is a shame. The older laptop i have used windows 10 i have yet to find out to get this gold flight sim to run on a windows 11 yet

No success with this method on WIN 11, same as the comments as well.
