"Hello everyone. This mod repairs the broken UVs on the Iron Sights/Tritium of the Beta Shotgun. Of course, the mod replaces the retail shotgun."




    Features:
  • Accurate & faithful restoration of VALVe's 2002 Shotgun, reconstructing viewmodel/worldmodel materials and/or textures, such as colors;
  • Redone & fixed UVs previously broken;
  • Emissive & glowing orange tritium;
  • Audio & sounds sourced directly from the leak and/or original 2002 resources present in VALVe's archived presentation;


    Credits:
  • FF97 - Deliviring the original modification. Fixing the tritium UVs. New materials and/or textures, replacing purple-colored metalparts with gray-colored ones;
  • Krazart - Adding 2002 accurate materials and/or textures. Adding audio & sounds sourced directly from the leak and/or original 2002 resources present in VALVe's archived presentation.

Disclaimer:

This modification does not have any new animations, it keeps the retail moveset as they serve well enough for its accomplished purpose.

If experiencing issues, be sure to put the workshop_dir.vpk found in your steamapps\workshop\content\220\3394437838 into your \steamapps\common\Half-Life 2\hl2\custom.

I fixed the worldmodel collisions and finally got the orange tritium to work.

@krazart I mean it literally doesn't have any yellow color showing like on the pictures here.
@TyrannoWright I'll be updating it today with reload and pump sounds.

It didn't come with the reload or pump sounds though, which is what I meant.

@finlandslim they're not meant to glow, if that's what you mean. Which is accurate to VALVe's 2002 material. If you're looking for a mod that does make it glow, you can check out this mod out on gamebanana [gamebanana.com], simply follow the instructions to install it and it should work.

If you're talking about the beta shotgun DI mod - it comes with the 2002 firing sounds.

I did use that particular addon, but it just felt missing without the 2002 sounds we finally got.

@TyrannoWright the original modification is not mine, my page delivers a tweaked and altered version from this one [gamebanana.com], to bring it back to its 2002 look, but that's just the little work I have made on my own.
I'm not really allowed or permitted to distribute this or publish it any further than the workshop. Thanks a lot for the attention though!

If you're talking about DI mods, have you ever tried this one on ModDB ? It's an excellent 2003 shotgun mod, but I'm afraid it doesn't come with the 2002 materials.

This going to see a release on Gamebanana? Would go nicely with mods like Dark Interval.
