This is my first project and I am still learning how to use the tools. If you have any tips for me, please write me.

The map of Manhattan differs from Louisville in its narrow streets and alleys and the houses that are close together. The apartments are often very small and only have the most basic furniture. However, there are numerous shops close together.

It is my own, free version of Manhattan. For gameplay reasons, the map differs from reality. I must also admit that I have never been to Manhattan myself and use Google and Google maps to create it.

Hint: Deactivate this mod, if you want to play vanilla!

Known issues with vanilla B42:
  • Problems with large IngameMaps, so trails are currently missing in some cells in Manhattan
  • No vehicle spawn above or below ground floor
  • The lights in spawn rooms are sometimes turned off.

Note on AI usage:
Currently, I'm using AI-generated images for the workshop logo and the main menu background. The images represent what I've come up with myself - the prompt is mine. As I'm not a graphic designer, this was the best way for me to create visuals for this free mod. If you're a talented artist interested in contributing custom images for the logo and main menu, I'd be delighted to consider replacing the AI-generated assets with your work.

I'm currently testing the functionality with B42.13. I'll probably update the mod soon. In my initial test, the mod worked, with a few minor error messages.

@Yannerrins The dev said on discord that they're basing themselves on pics of modern NYC since it would be a real pain to find blueprints and architectural documents from the 90s online.

I'll remove the background again in the next update. It's currently a placeholder to test how the backgrounds work. As far as I know, I can't add an option for the background. I'll see if I can find a solution for the future.

But please note, if you want to play vanilla, disable the mod. The mod also changes the behavior of the vanilla files. For example, it removes most of the in-game map items and will add new Manhattan maps in the future. The same applies to flyers, newspapers, radio, etc. (in the future, not currently).

@Lord Skarra why would they do that... this mod is for New York and if im smart then well... New York is a couple hundred miles away... doesnt make any sense at all...

This is a wildly ambitious mod that I'm in full support of. The current completed portions of Central Park and Chelsea are expertly crafted and really well detailed. Super excited to see the map get built out more.
