Cursor not appearing when launching the game?
Your cursor going to another monitor?

This fix is pretty effective, had help from a friend. Decided to make this because there's just not a lot of solutions online for these issues and I hope this is the most effective for everybody that's running into it.


This is for a bug where your cursor will leave the window while playing, for when the cursor will just fly to my other monitor and cause me to click out the game

A solution which helped me a lot was using Special K.

Special K [www.special-k.info]

Just download the archive and extract it.

Copy the Specialk32.dll

Then paste it into the bin folder in the main S.T.A.L.K.E.R directory

Then rename Specialk32.dll to d3d9.dll

Launch the game and do "CTRL+SHIFT+BACKSPACE"

Click input managment, then click Mouse Input

FInally, just click "Keep inside window".

The issue should be fixed if not just say what's happening and I'll have my tech support bby boy help out like he did with me


This is a pretty simple fix I've found online

Just add " -i " to steam launch options for S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Then launch the game

It's a command switch line. Which the devs included to help tweak the game further
