This short guide will show you how to handle the new 3-X Particle Disruptor in the 14.0 public beta! It contains a list of things on what to do, and what NOT to do.

Aquiring
  • Experimental Weapon Lockers - Has a 50/50 chance to spawn in one. If not, it will be a Jailbird. To get into the locker, you need a card with armory access tier 3, A.K.A the Chaos Insurgency card, MTF Captain card, or the 05 card.
  • On the floor - Someone most likely died using it or it has one charge left. Pick it up before someone else does!
  • Another human being - If they are on your team, follow them until they die. If they aren't on your team, find any method of termination to get it. Or you could just ask.

How To Use
  • Left-click - Fire!
  • Right-click (hold) - aim down the night-vision scope
  • Mouse wheel / middle mouse - Toggle between firing modes. See below for more info
Firing Modes
  • Burst Fire (1-second windup) - Fires 3 mostly-inaccurate bolts of pure energy back-to-back, which deals 100 damage per bolt. It chews right through body armor and deals 750 damage to Hume Shield (SCP shield) if you hit all of your shots
  • Disintegrator (2-second windup) - Fires one accurate bolt of pure energy which pierces body armor and Hume Shield (SCP shield). For Hume Shield, it deals 300 damage. For the health of the SCP, it does 400 damage. For un-armored humans, it does 320 damage.

NOTE: Damage effectiveness decreases with distance.
Do's
  • Recharge in SCP-914 by setting the dial to 'FINE' or 'VERY FINE'
  • Convert to a Jailbird in SCP-914 by setting the dial to '1:1'
  • Throw (press t) while winding up. It will still fire
  • Use hipfire! There is almost no penalty for running & gunning with this thing. There is also no stamina or movement speed penalty. Although this may change.
  • Break both normal and keycard doors (besides gates, bulkheads, and checkpoint doors). This will work for both firing modes. Doors that are close together, like airlocks, will be destroyed all at once if using the 'Disintegrator' firing mode.
  • Kill anything standing in your way. Or running towards or away from you...
Dont's
  • Attempt to convert a Jailbird or Micro H.I.D. into a Particle Disruptor in SCP-914 on 'COARSE' (or '1:1' for the Jailbird). It may appear to of been successful, but it wasn't. It will have 0 charges, and once you pick it up and drop it, it will disappear. This will also occur if you still try to recharge it in SCP-914 on 'FINE' or convert it back to a Jailbird on '1:1'.
  • Try to switch to another weapon during windup. It won't work
  • Attempt to recharge in a Tesla Gate. It does nothing
  • Fire closely to a wall/surface while on the 'Disintegrator' firing mode. This will damage and burn you for a few seconds.

That's the end of my short guide on the usage and handling of the 3-X Particle Disruptor. Functionality will defiantly change during the public beta and after release. I'll try to update this guide ASAP when something changes for this very cool weapon!
