Overview
This mod allows you to drive vehicles.
This mod is an updated version of IOperateIt[github.com] by tony56a (reuploaded as Driving Mod by WULF1045).
Original mod page at Wayback Machine[web.archive.org]
What's New:
  • Now you could use the arrow keys to adjust the camera offset
    > To adjust rotation precisely, press and hold Ctrl at the same time.
  • Please refer to the Change Notes for more information.
How to Use:
  • Click on any vehicle, then click the car icon (see figure 4) to start driving.
  • Open the main panel, select a vehicle (a preview will appear on the right), click "Spawn Vehicle" (see figure 3), and then select a road segment to start driving.
  • Control -- W/A/S/D (default), see mod settings or FPS Camera settings for other key mapping settings
Meta:
  • Defaults to third person, but if you need first person, just use the arrow keys to adjust the camera offset, or adjust the "Move/Offset forward" in the "Camera Offset" setting to an appropriate positive value.
  • The actual maximum velocity/speed of the vehicle may not always reach the limit in the settings - it's also related to the acceleration. If you find that the actual is far from the setting, please increase the acceleration.
  • Vehicle sound effects, etc. can be played only when the city simulation is NOT paused.
  • This mod will call the settings for the FPS Camera. For other behaviors (camera related, smooth transition, info panel, control keys...) please go to the main mod settings.

The previous comment is this in English: I have checked all mode compatibilities and everything is functioning normally, but the screen freezes when driving.

모드 호환성 다 확인했고 정상적인데 드라이빙 할때 화면이 고정이 되어버립니다.

Will next updates make the driving smoother and other cars won't ignore me? That would be really nice to actually drive as part of the traffic

@Wolf
I adapted the mod into an FPC plugin because much of the camera control logic can be reused—as mentioned "other behaviors" in the description. This simplifies development and improves compatibility not only with the vanilla game and related mods, but also with other camera mods. Sorry if this decision seems unclear or inconvenient to you.

@will so id have to set the bindings to other stuff? I do have to ask why was it converted to a 1st person camera plug in instead of staying as stand alone?

@Wolf
Yes, I think the "drop down menu" is just figure 3, if you are referring to the menu that can select vehicles;
Yes, please refer to the description. But keep in mind that changing WASD to arrow keys can alter the way FPSCamera is controlled and may conflict with the rotation keys that are bound to the arrow keys by default.

非常感谢你的详尽反馈!我们会考虑实现。
