Super XYX is truly awesome. Its the most fun I have had so far with a shmup. And I so dig that art style.

There are plenty of truly different ships to unlock and choose from. This run is with Cobra, probably the easiest ship for survival. Its main weapon has a decent spread and is quite powerful. Its bomb is also top tier.

The run starts out pretty good, and I manage to get through The Gauntlet without loosing any lives. Unfortunately, I get clipped in Alien Womb and loose a life. At the start of Hellfires, my brain shortcircuits and I go to the left in stead of to the right at the volcanic eruptions, costing me another life. Pretty happy I got past the last level and its boss The Exalted unscathed. Finally I head to the TLB and lose a third life on the pop corn enemies at the start. That made me quite upset. On the plus side, it seemed it lowered the rank, and I got the easy pattern on the first cycle of the TLB, almost killing it.

The final score of 19M is not that great, and its seems just not dying would be worth a ton of points. Dying resets the No Miss multiplier, and resets the metal counter. So dying late in a level is especially bad.
