How to have the soft lock happen

Leave through the hole in the wall that the zombies come through, after telling scar you dont have anything. (second option)

How to have the softlock not happen

To fix the soft lock, make sure you leave through the main entrance of the sawmill, after telling scar you dont have anything

this will automatically have you speak to MUTE.

How to fix the softlock (if you are already softlocked)

go back to the sawmill, back to the front where the main entrance is, this will force you to talk to mute
