Wings of Freedom

"Win Meron's support for the final battle."
[Unlocks "Meron, Skywing" for skirmish and multiplayer.]
Chapter 4 must be done, Chapter 5 probably has to be done, don't know about 6.

Chapter 4
  • Top-left corner of the map. Visit the settlement of "Meron's Pride" with Akard. Akard MUST be the one to make first contact, if the Triune meets them first they'll remain hostile even if Akard visits afterwards.

Chapter 5
  • Top-left corner of the map again. Approach the settlement of "Forlorn Trek," behind the excavation site, and Meron will appear and join you as a hero. "Forlorn Trek" will remain neutral and if you attack it afterwards, Meron will leave you. If you didn't form an alliance with "Meron's Pride" in Chapter 4, Meron will not appear at all and you'll be short a hero.

Chapter 6
  • Bottom-left corner of the light-side map, have a hero go to the location of "Meron's Pride." If you've done Chapter 4 and (maybe) 5, Meron will appear and be under your command. Otherwise, the settlement will remain neutral/hostile.

Chapter 8
  • If previous steps were done, Meron will automatically join you at the end of the first turn. He'll now be unlocked for skirmish and multiplayer.
Adventurer at Heart

"On campaign map 08 "Turning the Tide" tell Pip that you have found the Singing Stone."
[Unlocks "Pip, Knight Errant" for skirmish and multiplayer.]
I don't know if every step is required other than Chapters 7 and 8.
Edit: Ailor has confirmed that every step is required.

Chapter 1
  • Middle-left of the map. After rescuing King Atran at "Doran Citadel" head Southwest to "Borin Fields" then West to "Grunav Forest" which you must explore. Pip is waiting for you right outside of it.

Chapter 3
  • He's standing in the field to the East of "New Ehrengard," Southwest of "Nornburg." He'll want you to explore "Durlach Forest" in the bottom-left corner of the map. He'll wait right outside of it.

Chapter 5
  • Find Pip to the Northwest of "Rubikant" and North of "Darl Ruin," there's a narrow path into the mountains and Pip is at the end of it. He'll ask you to talk the the Elder Vrahna leading the army in "Loherd Forest" at the bottom-right corner of the map. Pip with pop up outside the forest after speaking with the Vrahna and you will be locked out from attacking the forest afterwards.

    • If you go to the forest before talking to Pip, there's no dialogue and you'll attack it. Pip will be a little upset if you kill the Elder Vrahna before talking to him in the mountain pass. I don't know if this affects future missions.

Chapter 6
  • Pip is found in the open to the Southwest of "Nachen Tower," the first bastion you come to after going through the purgatory. He wants you to ask the Shunned about the Singing Stone, they're at the bottom-left of the dark-side map at a place called "Irden Sellswords." They want you to kill the Forlorn at "Logar's Pride" which is at the top-right of the dark-side map, Southeast of "Hyligblut" on the other side of the mountain.

    • If you talk to "Logar's Pride" and don't attack them, you can return to the Shunned and they'll call you a coward and admit they don't know anything about a Singing Stone. Pip should appear right after.

    • If you have Meron, "Logar's Pride" will immediately join you when you talk to them and the Shunned will consider you an enemy. Kill the Shunned and Pip will appear.

    • I didn't try killing the Forlorn. I assume the outcome for Pip doesn't change since the Shunned have no information to give anyway.

Chapter 7
  • Head North when first encountering Ansgar and travel through the purgatory. Pip is injured on the other side. Talking to him will spawn an enemy army nearby that you need to destroy. Make note of the sparkling aura just across the water from where Pip was standing, to the Northeast. That's the Singing Stone and it can be picked up during final showdown with Ansgar.

Chapter 8
  • Have a hero speak with the "Dorfi of Korburg" near the center of the light-side map, South of "Warsbach" and West of "Fernblich," over the mountains. If you have the Singing Stone from Chapter 7, Pip will join you. He'll now be unlocked for skirmish and multiplayer.
Sing No Silence

"Meet the wandering bard on all Campaign Maps."
[Unlocks "Saky Mohto, Minstrel" for skirmish and multiplayer.]
He's an homage to the game's composer, Hitoshi Sakimoto.

Chapter 1
  • Sparkling aura. Middle-right edge of the map. Northeast of "Ferndar" and East of "Oringen" where there's a dead tree at the base of the mountains.

Chapter 2
  • Enter the location called "Balmung Forest" at the bottom-left corner of the map. West of "Gothel Fortress."

This one might be time sensitive, I think you need to get there before the Silence drops its prosperity to zero. The requirement only says to meet him, so I don't know for sure.
Edit: AngZt has confirmed that it's NOT time sensitive.

    Difficulty affects how soon the Silence drops the Forest's prosperity to zero;
    Story - 28 turns, Balanced - 22 turns, Challenging - 18 turns.
This means that it reaches zero at the start of the mentioned turns, so for Challenging it must be reached before the end of turn 17.

    • Finding him by turn 17:
"Oh! I did not expect to meet you here." greets Saky Mohto, the wandering bard. "Did you come to witness the death of Balmung Forest with me?"
"This ancient forest heart has lived since the dawn of time. Its offspring have grown into both worlds and will live on, even after Balmung itself falls Silent. The time has come. Listen to its song, and remember it."
    • Finding him after turn 17:
"You are too late." says Saky Mohto the wandering bard with a grave voice. "I have borne witness to this once majestic forest's Silencing only moments ago..."
"I have sung for it, one last time. Its song will now be lost to the Silence with nobody to remember it. May we meet again."

Chapter 3
  • Sparkling aura. Middle-top of the map, on the East side of the mountains. North of "Nornburg" in a small forest.

Chapter 4
  • Sparkling Aura. West of "Aranburg" and Northwest of "West Aran Bridge" on the West bank of the water. You can see the sparkle there at the edge of the fog when first starting the mission.

Chapter 5
  • Sparkling Aura. Middle-left edge of the map. When the mission starts, head West past the Purgatory to see the sparkles just on the opposite side.

Chapter 6
  • Enter the location called "Goldkirk" at the bottom-right corner of the light-side map.

Chapter 7
  • Sparkling aura. It can first be seen at the first encounter with Ansgar. Northeast of his base "Old Lord's Grave" up on the cliff, to the right of a big rock pile. Can't get there until near the end of the mission when you come through the nearby purgatory.

Chapter 8
  • Sparkling aura. Just North of "Hauser's Demise," in the woods. A bit left of middle-top of the light-side map.

Thanks, guys. I amended the guide.

I can confirm that the chapter 2 part of "Sing No Silence" (meet the bard) is NOT time sensitive. I only met him after the forest was Silenced (& had the appropriate dialogue) and still got my 2/8 progress in the ingame encyclopedia.

I can kinda confirm that every step for Pip is required. Played through 5 missions, found out I missied Pip completely, replayed 1st one and did his quest, he didnt show up in the 3rd (I guess i have to replay everything again, that's dumb) and never showed up again.

Thanks a lot! Just unlock Hauser today!:steamhappy:

For Hauser:
-Recapture the city where Hauser dies to get his remains.
-Lay his remains to rest at the flowers south of your main city. There's an upside-down "U" bend in the river and the flowers are inside that U, on the southern bank of the river.

It's NOT required but you can visit that spot in Chapter 3 to establish that it's his favourite spot.

Hello, do you know how to unlock Hause by meeting the quest that "go to Hause's favorite spot in the right time" in chapter 6? It is hard to understand the purpose of this quest. Thank you!
