Introduction
I initially made this to help with some puzzles that took a bit for me to understand and potentially missable content but it kind of just became something for anyone to easily reference about the game in general.

Most things will be individually spoilered; I feel a lot of the fun comes from discovering things for yourself, but if you’re lost, it’s here.

I’m going off my own playtest experience and progressing from there so sorry if i missed things, I’ll be updating as my own journey progresses.

I’ll be adding images as well! Please leave any advice/corrections/suggestions or questions in the comments!
Anything I’m not 100% on will look like this.

Please Enjoy!
Mechanics:
Vibes:
These little emotes are indicated by whatever vibe the beastie has.

Any Beastie can have any vibe.
Vibes do not affect actual gameplay, just the reactions they’ll have to whatever's going on.

Metamorphosis:
Metamorphosis is essentially evolution. Their design and stats will change.

Their Vibe and Trait might change as well.

You can stop a metamorph by pressing ESC or whatever your cancellation button is, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
You can trigger metamorphs on the details page after cancelling it.
You CAN stop Sprecko metamorph the same way.

Railhouses:
These serve as healing areas and fast travel spots via the map.

Reserves:
Once you’ve done some recruiting (you go above 5 Beasties), Beasties will start being sent to the Reserves, which basically means they’re just not on the team right now. You can swap out members anywhere on the overworld on your team menu.
When roaming the world, you can also find your reserve beasties just hanging out! They can be challenged to matches and will earn exp from them, just like whoever is in your active team.

Away-Teams:
You might find other Beastieball teams around areas you’re exploring. These are away teams, which are created by other players online, and probably a great bit stronger than wild teams. You can tell by the fact they’ll have a team name above them. The beasties on these teams are non recruitable.

You can create your own away teams using reserve Beasties (ones not currently on the team) by going to Railhouses and assembling them under the menu Away Team.

Away Teams will earn EXP when they return after matches, so be sure to check up on them.
Beasties on Away Teams will not metamorphosize.

Contacts and Social Battery:
As well as learning more about your super cool and awesome friends and fellow coaches, they’ll also teach your Beasties unique plays.

Each hangout will cost 1 social battery.
Your social battery will recharge a chunk for every match you play against a team (the ones that chase you around).

Reese is a little unique, as rather than plays, he will give a Special Treat instead, which causes them to gain boosted exp for (some amount of time, I haven’t used it.)

Relationships\ Combos:

Relationships will develop between Beasties as they play together.
These are:

Partners
Rivals
Besties
Sweethearts

These relationships will impact COMBOS. Volleys will add a chunk to the combo bar, and when maxed, can be used. Combo’s can have a variety of effects such as stamina restoration, stat buffs or just a more powerful attack.
Combos are different between each Beastie and the type of Relationship they have with each other.

Beasties can have a maximum of 5 relationships at a time. If a new relationship develops and goes over the cap, the relationship the Beastie has played with the least recently will fade. If they play with the former Beastie again, the relationship will return as what it was before.

You can check which Beastie and type of relationship on each’s menu.

As far as I know, there are no ways to engineer specific relationships and combos.
Plays they use together (Offense, Support eg) could potentially affect this but I’m pretty sure it’s unconfirmed.

Learning Plays:

When Beasties play together, they might learn plays from each other. They do not have to play on the field together (one needs to be playing ofc), they only need to have a relationship and be in the active team.

On each Beastie’s Playbook page, it will have information and whether they are learned through level up or can be learnt from another beastie by scrolling down to “Learnable Via Friendship”.

The Diner in Jasper will trigger a play learning between Beasties when eating there.
Combat Gameplay:
I'm not going over how to play the game.

Stamina Restoration:
Specific Plays and Combos can restore stamina in matches.

Outside of matches, items like Water, Smoothies, Protein Bars can be used.

Items cannot be used during a match.

Changing Plays:

Want to change up a Beastie’s moveset?
Go to its menu and and click on any of its plays to swap out to any plays they’ve learnt.

Buffs
A number of Traits and Plays can provide buffs.

Buffs are kept until a point is made during the match.

Examining the field by using shift will let you know how many stages your stats are increased/decreased.

Feelings:

Feelings are status effects. These can be either positive or negative.

Jazzed:
A Beastie’s offense stats will give a +50% boost to your POW. This also ignores opponents defensive buffs.

Tough:
-

Noisy:
All opposing attack plays are redirected towards the Beastie with this effect.
Whether this is ALWAYS a positive effect is debatable.

Wiped:
When a Beastie is reduced to 0 Stamina, it will become Wiped.
When a Beastie is Wiped, the only actions they are able to perform are Move and Tag Out.
If a Wiped Beastie is on the receiving end of a ball, the opposing team will score a point.
When recovered from Wiped, the Beastie will become Sweaty.

Sweaty:
A Sweaty Beastie will lose Stamina every turn, -10 for every stack. The stack increases by 10 every turn.

A Beastie will become Sweaty after recovering from Wiped.
This usually can be healed outside of matches, although there is an exception.

If not recoverable, your Beastie is about to undergo metamorphosis.

Blocked:
-

Tired:
A Tired Beastie will only be able to perform basic actions.
(Move, Tag Out, Free Ball and Volley.)

Stressed:
A Stressed Beastie will become Tired after a number of turns. This feeling will disappear if Tagged Out before becoming Tired.

Shook:
When Shook, A Beastie will be unable to use attack plays.

Nervous:
When a Beastie is Nervous, they will be unable to use Move or move plays (Tag out, eg)

Angry:
An Angry Beastie only be able to use attack Plays and Volley

Field Moves:

Drum:
Will restore 6 stamina every turn it is up. Also stops Sweaty, Tired, Nervous and Stressed. This only affects the user's side.
It also adapts to whichever battle theme is playing, which is a really cute detail!

Rally:
Adds 50% to your Spirit attack POW. Decreases all Mind plays by 25%.
Pretty lethal.

Lay Trap:When a Beastie is tagged, they will lose 8 stamina for every trap.

Clear Field:
Clears the field. Of course.
Hidden areas/ Items
very gradual WIP

Areas:

Curious about this gate? (it's the area left of your awesome hideout)
[/previewimg]

You can hop off where the research lab is to get to the area blocked by the gate.

Travelling north from Thousand Views will take you to Wayback Rail Trait. Theres a lever which unlocks the 3 way gate area in the Quartz Canyon.

Items:

Im trying to assemble a list of how many gifts are in each area along with images but id honestly like help w this im not super organised but im working on it

Missable QOL's
QOL is Quality of Life. These aren't necessary but they can be helpful.

Sol (a character in Jasper) will give you a “Beastiepedia mod”, which will mark recruited Beasties for you. You need to have recruited a certain amount of Beasties.

Staying Power Fitness sponsorship. This will net you more money after a match.

I dont remember the specifics of this quest but i think talking to the gym after 3 league wins will start this.

Craig in the Beastie Research Society lab in Mythwood will give you access to Linked Research. By playing against Beasties that can Metamorph, you will be able to fill out their evolutions pages in the Beastiepedia without actually acquiring them.

Walter in the Croma Sea will upgrade jerseys for you! Low rank will become mid, mid will become high, ect ect. Helpful if you invested in a load of low rank jerseys on accident.

Indie in Dominion Park will give you a Raremorph tracker, which allows you to see which Raremorphs you’ve acquired. Talking to them about Raremorph sightings will spawn in a Raremorph that you have seen and not recruited (thank you @SlaveredOnion) that will roam around any area and can be tracked on the map.
Fun Stuff
Optional stuff that doesn't matter too much.

Colours variation and Raremorphs:
Most Beasties come in a wide variety of sizes and colours.
You can look at all the different variations available on the Beastiepedia.

Raremorphs are Beastie’s with even more unique colourations. They're basically shinies. It’s quite easy to tell the difference between a cool new colour and a Raremorph, as they will sparkle on the overworld and make a sparkling noise.

Don’t worry too much about missing one, again, they will make a pretty noticeable sparkling sound.

Sprecko:
You want a whole team of Speckos but having a miserable time finding them in the areas the map says they are? Can’t decide on which evolution you want?

More Sprecko’s can be found in the wild! Using items such as attract spray and super attract spray (they do the same thing) will increase the chance of them popping up. Leave and come back from whichever area they’re found in and they should pop up! As well as on the overworld, they’ll also pop up alongside other encounters so don’t worry if they aren’t immediately visible on the overworld.

Beastie #47
solved.
use call out 3 times.

Misc:

#??? / Exinct Beasties

Extinct Beasties or De-morphs are reversed evolutions that some Beasties are capable of.
These are:
Diggum → Duggout
Duggout can be found ???

Platypulse → Pladion
Pladion can be found ???

Cherrily → Mascurry
Mascurry can be found by progressing to the end of the Tawny Wilds.

Magpike → Marraptor
Marraptor can be found in the left area blocked by the 3 gates in the Quartz Canyon.

Squidmage → Diabloceros
Diabloceros can be found by going the unlocked elevator in the Neptune Stadium

Sprecko —> Shloom
Shloom can be found ???

The roaming variants cannot be recruited,
After being fought, they will roam the overworld. After gaining a victory against them with their research completed, they will stop roaming.

If you press ALT or F, you can clap for your leading beastie! Wow!

Kicking balls at your Beastie will let them volley the ball with each other. Kicking the balls at wild Beasties also allows them to play on the overworld.

You can change the colour of your team! This will be effective immediately.
A certain character might have some dialogue about this…

Going to the wardrobe in your room (Take the elevator in the Rutile Beastieball Center) allows you to access the character customisation menus again. Clothing shops allow this as well.

The most destructive option:
There is an instant win button. It’s in the setting if you really want it.

Thank you for reading!
This is my first time writing a guide, I hope this was helpful and the formatting was okay!
Please do have fun with Beastieball!

I appreciate you trying to put everything in one place! I will say the official wiki (https://www.beastiepedia.net/wiki/Main_Page) and https://beastieball.info/ both have a lot of great info. My contribution to some of the missing info for feelings: Tough makes a beastie take 1/4 damage and will always survive the next hit unless it's already at 1 stamina, and Blocked will make a beastie's attacks do 2/3 damage and be an easy receive for the defender

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm pretty sure it's bugged now, sadly. My team's around level 50 at this point, so, getting another one's not going to be a thing. I'll just have to wait until they fix it. :(

details how to trigger the metamorph if you're stuck on how to do it :p4g_smiling:
Honk  [author] 2 Dec, 2024 @ 2:13am
hello! i tried as well with the same issue so i think it might be bugged? cause it definitely shouldn't be perma-locked if you cancel it. I've been on the discord and someone else is having the same issue so maybe send in a report and get another one in the meantime?
Nibblefingers 1 Dec, 2024 @ 9:41pm
In the guide, it's mentioned that you can trigger metamorphosis on the details page after cancelling it. I cancelled my diggum's transformation in confusion at what I'd done, and now I cant't seem to find the method to trigger it under details. Do you have any idea what I'm missing?
Gumifa98 25 Nov, 2024 @ 4:49am
@campion that was it, thank you so much.

@Gumifa98 have you gotten the event near the rutile reserve with Celia and Riley? and if so, have you done the quest celia gave you afterwards (the one where you have to find mushroom colonies)? you'll get the platinum sponsorship after that
