Round 2, baby.

To preface, I largely like this revision of Radahn a lot. There's a couple gripes that I have with it, but nothing really major, and definitely not anything that would negatively affect a casual run through of the DLC. For instance, I really adore the new openings that Radahn has throughout his moveset, but I do really wish that FromSoft touched up on that one clone barrage after the rock-sling in phase 2, and maybe the camera a bit too. Overall though, this change was very much needed, and it is very solid for the most part.

I've consistently been an advocate for balancing the complexity of this combat-system in a way that's interesting, but also accessible to the entire player-base, regardless of what their build is, and regardless of if challenge runners like myself personally enjoy this level of difficulty. At the end of the day, the problematic factors in this fight (that got edited or not) are/were not emblematic of the polish and care that fans of FromSoft have become so familiar with. Of course, it is unfortunate that it was necessary in the first place, but this was unlike anything that this community had faced prior to this DLC, and at the end of the day, I'm glad to see that FromSoft still aims to continue putting forth a commendable amount of passion into their work.

Anyways, contrary to what some insufferable people would say online, this was still VERY difficult, and it only took a few hours because I already had over 20 behind me. Obtaining some new muscle-memory for the new openings, as well as the previously problematic 1-2-X attack was pretty challenging, but also quite fun in my opinion. Also, the addition of new openings had its own consequence in a RL1 setting; that is, it made the already difficult stamina management challenge even HARDER. There's SO much improvisation you have to do when punishing his attacks because of how costly charged-heavies are in RL1, and also with how many rolls you have to do in quick-succession for some combo-strings. This isn't to say I dislike this, because I really don't, but man it is challenging to constantly keep an eye on my stamina bar while also watching his character model like a hawk.

Killed him with the riposte this time. This is a huge win for the Bopsi community.
