Intro
Boy, there's not a lot of info about this game. I copied this strat from a speedrunner on YouTube. In 3 attempts on Master difficulty, it worked twice.
The Strat
We start out by picking the worm ship. This is the best ship for carrying passengers. With its high passenger capacity, you'll make way more money than everyone else early on.

Before starting, make sure to put the following planets in your game: Mira, Loro, Ooom, and preferably Pyke. Make Mira the top right planet so that you start on it. Pyke is there to hopefully distract the AI, since it loves upgrading its engines there.

Starting on Mira, we go to the special event and try to get a blessing. Any blessing will do, but higher blessings are better. Take whatever passengers are available, set ticket price to 4,000, and always buy the maximum tier of ads for passengers. You do not need to bother with cargo at any point.

If you can't afford this, take out a loan. Any excess money should always go towards paying off your loans. Pay off the higher interest one first. Once you're debt free, all excess money should be banked.

Go back and forth between Mira and Loro until you get your blessing. Loro's special event has a chance to wipe out your crew's unpaid wages, which is huge.

If any auctions happen, ignore anything that isn't a ship upgrade or a facility on Mira, Loro, or Ooom. Generally you'll want your bid to be the middle value + 10,000. In the early game you can just go with 20,000 or 30,000. Pay attention to other people's bets so as to work out a baseline. The CPUs will bet more over time.

If an auction for a bigger ship happens in the early game, do not go for it. Getting a bigger ship this way will cause the number of waiting passengers to drop to 0 at your next destination. This is not worth it. The random event that offers you a bigger ship at a set price is fine.

Once you've gotten a blessing at Mira, you can start going to Ooom instead. At Ooom, get your fortune told. Ideally you'll be told that you have positive luck. The highest tier is called "truly blessed". While on positive luck, loop Ooom-Loro. While at max luck, Ooom will either pay you a lot of money, tell you that you're truly blessed, or you don't get a fortune.

Luck seems to work like this: Positive luck makes positive events more likely. Positive events raise your luck, while negative events will lower your luck. Being told that you have positive luck seems to be treated as a positive event, meaning that you can stay at maximum luck indefinitely by frequenting Ooom. However, if you do get a bad event, your luck will crash down to average about half the time. I recommend continuing to loop Ooom until being told that your luck is average or worse. Then you loop Mira-Loro and seek another blessing.

If you keep this up and keep banking your excess money, you'll probably win. There's a bit of RNG involved in this. You should easily blast past the competition early on, then struggle more in the late game. It depends on how often Ooom pays out, how long you can stay at max luck, and how many times you have to pay your crew. That said, don't worry if you have to pay your crew. You can lose 100,000+ to them many times and still win. You can also lose your luck a few times and still win.
Conclusion
Worm OP please nerf.

The computer players all have 4 or 5-kuarp engines (except Hoff Meister), and the worm ship starts with a 6-kuarp, so leaving Pyke out of your game can actually give you a permanent speed advantage. Could be handy if you're planning to go forever with the worm ship.
