Hey! Are your levels doing absolutely horrible?

Yeah?
I figured.

Anyways I've been there before.








This level of mine, "APPL: The Epic" performed HORRIBLY.
And looking back at it now, I understand why.

And you may be thinking, "Why would i listen to this idiot!"
Well i got in the weekly mix, so shut up.





Anyways, this guide is super duper beginner friendly, so if you don't understand something:

ON WITH THE GAMING!!

So you need help making a better level. Here is some tips that will help you create a good level.

1. Keep a consistent style.














Even though these 2 levels control the same, One of them is more appealing.

2. You don't have to be a good designer.

Even little timmy levels have potential, All this level went through was a style change and a few objects moved and deleted















3. You are not the intended audience.

Keep in mind that it's other peoples first time playing your level. Avoid pick a paths, passwords, unnecessary backtracking, and quizzes.

"A save per troll keeps the dislikes away."

First off, ALWAYS select as many tags as you can. Don't be afraid to over-exaggerate the tag, Since it doesn't really matter if it actually fits the theme good.























Now, for the level title and description, don't make anything sound little timmy-ish. If it sounds bad then people will THINK that its bad, and you want your level to be the talk of the town!












Try being neat with the title and description, It will help A TON, but don't be too neat, After all, this is your level, who am I to judge your writing style.











Now, for these other settings.












Visibility
-If your level is for a friend or a group of people, set it to "Unlisted", Otherwise, keep this on public.

Appear In Challenges
-Be a good person and NEVER ever set appear in challenges if its a troll level. Please. Don't.
-If your level is really hard, I recommend not setting this.

Replay Visibility
-Set it to "After clear" if its a puzzle level or troll map, This will make it so that people cannot view solutions.


Also, make sure to set a thumbnail (SUPER IMPORTANT.)

Take a look at these 2 levels.












They are the exact same in content, but one is more "Fancy" than the other. To set a thumbnail, Create a new room, Decorate 1 screen, and then middle click the room on the sidebar. You should see a camera icon.

Make sure to drag it to the bottom, the camera will always stay the same, but you don't want to accidentally make you start inside the thumbnail.

Now you know some of the basics of level making, and remember.

NEVER GIVE UP.
