Brugger & Thomet MP9 with a Docter reflex sight, B&T suppressor, and Steiner DBAL-PL from Payday 2

The Austrian Steyr sold their TMP design to Brugger & Thomet, which also included the SPP semi-automatic pistol without the front grip. The Swiss company improved it by adding Picatinny rails and a folding stock and renamed it to MP9. Typically, the semi-auto TP9 has the stock removed and a front grip replaced with an additional underbarrel rail, although variations exist. In addition, B&T produces the gun chambered in other calibers and with a new ambidextrous fire selector.

Replaces the MP5 (model and sounds)

Long time no see. Carried away by having an actual job, videogames to play, things to watch, and wars to cry about, I haven't been doing any Left 4 Dead 2 mods for a while. The last time I released a weapon mod was in October (almost an entire year ago), and even that was a vanilla-plus kind of mod. I didn't pick up modding Payday 2 either, and neither did I do what I promised myself - update my old mods. So I decided to make a complete package this time, one that I wouldn't have to come back "someday later" and make alternative versions and all that. Props to all the modders that actually go through the trouble of making replacements for several weapon/character slots, because while it isn't exactly hard, it's a bit frustrating. Probably the funniest thing about all this is having to use a VPN to upload a Youtube video, because the Russian gov't is blocking Youtube. Yeah, they suck. But I'm looking forward to trying out that Custom Weapon Lab thingy, and I already have grandiose ideas which will likely take me forever to get done.

Funny story, this one. I was randomly in love with the TMP/MP9 thinking I should make a mod or two, and then they added it to that new call of duty thingy. What a coincidence. Naturally, it didn't take long for the model and animations to get ported to L4D2, although the model is noticeably "fatter" than a normal MP9, with the animations not fitting the thinner PD2 model. So it wasn't as easy to get this thing not look off. This is one of my few mods to have built-in firing sounds, being a suppressed gun for a slot that isn't the Silenced SMG. This is done mainly because the MP5 firing sounds are of lower frequency and as such have a lowered quality of replacement sounds than the regular guns, which isn't as noticeable on suppressed guns. No RNG animations, so it's safe to host games. I even added that to my list of features, because while it is fun to have more variety, it limits the possibilities of customizing games for local hosting.
