"Pushed by mounted slavers the Dagaaba fled into the woodlands till they came to a great river. Great pythons helped them flee across the water, away from the slavers. Here they found a fertile land under a new god who gladly took them in. They build great shrines to this new god and villages sprang up around them.

Dagawie is a land of farmers and archers. Besides the Awakened God the people pay respect to the many spirits of the land. Cults have their own masks and secret rituals. With the right offering of blood the spirits can be convinced to lend their aid directly to the Dagaaba.

Now the Awakened God has called upon them to spread their word far and wide. So bows are readied, horses are mounted and priests call upon the varied spirits to gather a host."

Dagawie is a MA nation based on the Dagaara of northern Ghana and southern Burkina Faso. You have lightly armored human troops and a lot of Glamour based magic and summons. An important part of Dagaara cosmology are the different realms tied to the five elements.

Fire, the primal element of creation from which souls are made.
Water, the catalyst that that represents serenity and wisdom.
Earth, the sustaining mother through agriculture.
Minerals, the bones of the earth that keep it's memory.
Nature, the element of change. It represents flora and fauna but also the origin of magic.

The idea is to keep the nation alive long enough till you can start throwing summons around but your invisible sacreds should buy you enough time for that.
