Been tinkering with my RaspberryPi 3B setup again. It really bothers me how I've never been able to rig this thing up to this Sony Wega Trinitron 32" TV (kv32fs120) via any methods better than RCA Composite cables. I've followed so many guides and tried so many operating systems but I just cant make progress in getting the HDMI signal to successfully cooperate with the exact HDMI-to-Component converter box folks suggested. Its a box that is purely analog and lag free, but it just needs the right settings applied to the signal for it to work, supposedly.

Anyway, I've just been trying to make myself appreciate what I have here. Its a handy little NES box that plays all 8bit and 16bit games at perfect 240p signals on this TV. They look and feel extremely close to the original machines. I'm merely suffering the yellow composite cable side effects, like weak colors and overall fuzziness. The emulation quality is very good, although with these Sega CD games it can tend to have little pops in the CD Audio, as you can hear near the end.

I've recently recalibrated the TV as best I can, geometry wise, via the secret service menu. I haven't tinkered with the other settings, and I haven't yet opened it up to inspect any physical flaws or aging. I suspect I will find some signs of aging inside and work will need to be done.

I finally found a camera app (Open Camera) on my android that captures at 1/60 shutter speed, so I can capture off the TV without annoying black banding bars scrolling vertically. Unfortunately there's still a ton of shimmering going on that the human eye doesn't see, but this camera app picks up on. Sorry. Trust me, it looks better in person. I wish I could have captured 60fps but it was failing with my OnePlus7Pro, despite it being able to do so via other apps. This hurt the transitions.

I decided to record one of the greatest 16 bit game intros ever. I tried to hold my phone steady.

I am desperate for help in seeking a RaspberryPi 3B image that can natively emulate games at 240p via an HDMI to Component converter box. Please leave any comments if you have any tips. Yes, I have read the guide at https://www.retrorgb.com/rpi240p.html
