I have 11 stars in a sort of cluster at the bottom right of the map - at about the height of the two lonely stars in the nebula at the bottom. They are WAY beyond anything you show here.

Okay, so some locations are random. What file did you edit?

So note to all, nothing is missed. It seems that some worlds are at random generated positions. This was made just before my final mission using a mod edit to display all worlds at unlimited range, so per my game, everything is discovered. Or new versions changed locations.

missing some worlds on the line that Starlance is aligned on. Followed it in northern direction until I reached dead star, found something cool along the way for Dr. Rama :)

Interesting. I have a few extra systems and a warpgate in the northeren section of the southwest map, and the layout is a little different for those systems there. I'm guessing some systems only spawn in after different missions are completed and this spawn location depends on where you have already explored

Thank you, this was very useful.

It seems some very few systems (5-6?) are random each game, but no important systems.

When you venture out into the void, it seems a few systems with portals can spawn, as a way to warn you and get you back - on the "North" map, the two leftmost systems with portals instead appeared for me in the top part of "Center West".

Looking at this on Kepler 17318 (1.0), it seems some places have changed spot.
