Dev Diary: March 4th
Hey guys, how are you doing? Some time has passed since the last update, so here is what we’re doing lately:

We’ve received some feedback since White Noise Online was updated, and we’re currently working on the first update for the game.
  • We’ve fixed the “black screen” issue, but until the update is released, there’s a workaround posted here
  • Also fixed the crash that can occur when unlocking bonus content codes.
  • Added a how to play section with some tips and skill explanations.
  • We’ve been working on 4 new unlockable (by picking up tapes) characters, with new models (not just reskins). Some of them are “very special” characters, some are more common. There’s still some work left to finish them, I’d say we’re around 60% progress.
  • We’ve also started work on a whole new level for the game. Can’t tell for sure if this scenario will be included in the first update, or if it will be postponed for the next one, since we’ll have to thoroughly test it to make sure it’s balanced, etc.
  • If you have any suggestion to get a better game, don’t hesitate to put them in the comments section! 🙂
Last week we submitted the V1.5 update for Avatar Farm Online, and the approval process it’s almost finished! I’ll show the full details once it’s approved, but it adds some bugfixes and gameplay improvements, and a new wonder, the Manor.

White Noise Online - "Black Screen Issue"
We’ve received some reports of people having trouble when starting an online game, getting a “black screen” and being able to hear the scenario, but the game never starts, while others just stay in the lobby and the game doesn’t start loading.

We’ve found the reason this is happening, it’s a bug related with the gamepad player index. We’re going to fix it on the next update, but it will take some time until it’s available.

Meanwhile, you can avoid the problem by just playing on the 1st gamepad (the one that has the top left corner lit on the guide button).

Our apologies for the issue.

White Noise Tactics Announced!
Screenshot of our most requested game!

https://steamproxy.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3304798362

We’ve received lots of emails from users asking to add more depth and strategy to White Noise, so we’ve decided to start work on a new game called White Noise Tactics.

In WNT, your goal is to find 8 tape recorders while killing harmless monsters with firearms you pick along the way: Handguns, shotguns, etc.

Sure, you won’t feel even a bit of horror, but think of how frightened the monsters will be!

PS: Yeah, April’s fools, obviously! But there’s a little of truth in all this, stay tuned ;).

Dev Diary: April 12th
We’ve spent some time trying to add Split Screen support to White Noise Online, but sadly we’ve decided to discard it, the feature proved to be way more troubling than expected (specially the sound), and taking too much from the horror experience. We’ll submit an update next week with small bugfixes though. After that, we’ll start work on a new scenario.

White Noise Online Releases On Steam in 7 Days!
White Noise Online will be available for purchase on Steam on March 22nd.

We’ve worked hard on the PC adaptation, to ensure a proper experience either using a gamepad or keyboard/mouse, on any of the 3 Steam platforms.

The game comes with the same features the Xbox 360 version have, plus achievements. We plan on adding new features such as characters, maps, and Virtual Reality support (Oculus) as long as the game gets some audience.

It will be available for $6, and will feature a 25% discount on release, as well as a 4-pack option.

White Noise Online Available Today On Steam!
On White Noise Online, a team of up to 4 investigators has to explore an area looking for clues, while avoiding being devoured by a supernatural creature. Will you be able to uncover the truth behind the mysterious events?

The game takes the idea of simple, accesible horror behind Slender and evolves it further to adapt it to a cooperative environemnt.

Designed from scratch to offer a shared horror experience, White Noise Online lets you live new situations, never seen before on a videogame. You’ll need teamwork and trust on your partners to take the right choices and overcome the challenges you’ll face.

Another interesting feature of WNO is the replay screen, where you can check the path you and your friends followed. Once the thrilling game session is over, have a laugh while seeing how you kept walking in circles!

It features over 15 playable characters, each one with their own perks and skills, and 6 different scenarios to explore. The game offers total Steam integration, including matchmaking, voice chat, achievements, etc.

      Bugfix update - online issues
      Welcome back fellow investigators!

We've just uploaded a small bugfix update that should help with a specific issue regarding not being able to join online sessions. It took a while to find and fix (actually, over 2 years!), but better late than never, right?

I'm surprised the game's servers are still running after all this time.
