Unfortunately, that's just some leftover code from Splinter Cell: Conviction. It works for pistols and alternate weapons only (you can't holster stun gun or crossbow. because Conviction didn't have those), You can't holster weapons while hanging on a pipe or rappelling either. But the worst thing is it breaks gadget throwing animation softlocking your character!
