Edit: after the update in Feb 2025, we can buy Golden Tickets to quickly farm golden fish. Therefore, the previous guide, shown below, is no longer necessary.

Introduction

The difficulty of perfecting this game lies entirely in the final six achievements for the golden fish collection of the six types (requiring at least 25 golden fish out of a total of 26 for each type). In the early stages, you just need to buy and sell fish normally. Small tip: hold down the right mouse button, leave the game window, release the right mouse button, and return to the game. The fish will be fed automatically without needing to click the mouse. If the developers fix this in the future, you can use a right-click auto-clicker instead. Keep doing this until you have enough money to buy hundreds of packs of the last type of fish (Spring Pals). Regardless of whether the other achievements are unlocked, you can start farming golden fish.

Because the probability of golden fish appearing is very low and they might repeat, given that anti-cheat rules (such as SteamHunter, Astats, etc.) require that you do not edit save files, but you can view document files. Therefore, the simplest non-cheating method is to open and view the globals.save file (C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Chillquarium\V7) in text form and check the mercy_timer variable. The mercy_timer increases by 100 every 25 packs (25 * 4 = 100 fish), and at 1024, a golden fish is guaranteed to appear. After a golden fish appears, the mercy_timer resets to 0.

Strategy for Farming Golden Fish

Step 1: If mercy_timer < 924: Keep buying 25 packs of one of the cheaper 5 types of fish (preferably a type for which you haven't unlocked all golden fish yet, otherwise buy the cheapest type), then sell them, and repeat until the mercy_timer exceeds 924. When mercy_timer reaches 500, you can wait or exit the game to save the progress. If an unwanted golden fish appears during the purchasing process, immediately force quit the game (Alt+F4 or click the close button, this won't save the game), then continue buying fish. If a needed golden fish appears, restart this step from the beginning.
Step 2: If mercy_timer >= 924: Open 25 packs of the most expensive fish (Spring Pals), and a golden fish is guaranteed to appear. If the golden fish that appears is not needed, quickly force quit the game (this won't save the game), then reopen the game and repeat this step until the needed golden fish appears.

Notes:

Depending on your money and the status of the first five golden fish achievements, you can choose to save the game choosing another threshold of mercy_timer between 500 and 900 (instead of 924) and start buying Spring Pals in Step 2.
Once the achievement for golden Spring Pals is unlocked, switch to buying the type of fish you still need in Step two.
If you encounter fish that you haven't unlocked yet (e.g., Painted), you can lock them and feed them in other tanks.

Conclusion

Even using the method I described above, the late-stage game still feels like a pack-opening simulator, with players continuously opening packs for several monotonous hours. I have suggested to the developers to add a filter button that allows players to buy only golden fish, but not a positive response yet.

更新：2025年2月份的更新，增加了成就，同时可以让玩家买黄金票。全成就时间大幅缩短，且不再需要之前的方法去刷黄金鱼了。

前言

该游戏的全成就难度完全在于最后对6种鱼的全金色收集这6个成就（每种鱼一共26个需要收集至少25个金色）。前期只需要正常买鱼卖鱼，这里有个小技巧，按住右键离开游戏窗口，松开右键再回到游戏，不用鼠标点击也会自动喂食。如果以后这个被开发者修复的话，可以用右键的点击器取代。直到足够有钱可以一次性买最后一种鱼（spring pals）几百包，无论其余的成就是否解开，你可以开始刷金色鱼了。

由于金色鱼的出现概率很低，而且可能重复。一般的反作弊规则（例如SteamHunter，Astats等网站）要求不能修改存档，但可以查看文档文件。因此，最简单且不作弊的方法是，以文本方式打开查询globals.save文件（C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\Godot\app_userdata\Chillquarium\V7），检查mercy_timer变量。mercy_timer每开25包会增加100（25乘以4=100条鱼），mercy_timer到1024必定出金色鱼。出金色的鱼后会重置mercy_timer为0。

刷金色鱼的策略

第一步：mercy_timer<924：重复买便宜的5种鱼的其中一种（最好是还没有全部金色解锁的种类，否则买最便宜种类）的25包，然后卖掉，重复直到mercy_timer大于924。在mercy_timer=500的时候可以等待或直接存档退出游戏，以便mercy_timer写入一次。如果购买过程中，出现不需要的金色鱼立即强退游戏（Alt+F4或点叉退出，不会因此存档），然后继续买鱼；如果出现了需要的金色鱼，从头开始此步骤。
第二步：mercy_timer >= 924: 开25个最贵的鱼（Spring Pals）的包，一定会出金色鱼。如果出的金色鱼是你已经解锁过所以不想要的，迅速强退游戏（游戏不会因此存档），然后重新打开游戏，重复此步骤，直到你需要的金色鱼出现。

需注意：

根据你拥有的钱，和前面5种金色鱼成就的解开情况，可以选择mercy_timer的阈值为500-900（而不要求大于924）就存档，进入第二步开始买Spring Pals。
当Spring Pals金色成就解锁后，第二步换成购买你仍缺少的鱼的种类。
如果刷金色鱼的途中遇到前面未解锁的鱼（例如painted），可以将他们锁住，放在其他缸里养。

结语

即使用我以上的方法，游戏后期仍然像一个开包模拟器，玩家不停的开包，这是非常无聊的几个小时的时间。我已经建议开发者添加一个筛选按钮，可以只买到金色的鱼，目前没有得到肯定的回复。
