Introduction
I bought the game in early access, played it at the time, and then stopped to wait for the official release. I returned to play after many months and was happy to see that there was a workshop for mods, but I soon discovered that they are not installed automatically and I had difficulty installing them.

Therefore, I went to learn how to install them and decided to create this quick guide for people who are interested in using mods downloaded from the workshop and are facing the same problem I had in the beginning...
How to install
To install a mod, you need to download one from the Steam Workshop. Choose from available options such as characters, mysteries or events.

Once you download your desired mod, it will go into the workshop folder in your Steam installation directory, typically located at: ~\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\913740\*

Within the folder '913740' you'll find subfolders for mods downloaded via the workshop. Navigate into these folders to locate the necessary files for installing the specific mod. Depending on what you've downloaded, the installation process may vary.

Configuration
Before installing mods, you need to navigate to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\wohgame and create two folders (if they don't exist already): custom and characters. These folders will be used for installing mods. After creating these folders, copy and paste the contents according to the type of mod you downloaded.

Types
Characters
If your mod were a character, it would probably have 2 files, one folder, and a file with the extension .ito. Copying these 2 files into the 'characters' folder ensures that the character will appear in the selection within the game.
Path: C:\Users\yourUsername\AppData\Local\wohgame\character

Enemies and Events
The logic is the same: take the contents of the mod folder and place them inside the 'custom' folder. When you add events or enemies to the folder, when testing, open the game, go to 'mods', and click the custom button to check if the mods are correctly appearing on the right side.
Path:C:\Users\yourUsername\AppData\Local\wohgame\custom

mysteries
Mysteries are installed in another folder. You need to create a folder called mystery in the game's installation directory (there's a folder named mystery within the extra_content folder; the game does not read files from this folder). After that, you just need to copy and paste the mystery mod files in this folder.

Path:C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WOH\

Conclusion
With this, you'll be able to install the base mods. If you're interested, I recommend searching for the World of Horror Discord server on internet to find more mods and detailed tutorials for creating mods for the game. I hope I've helped, consider leaving a review.

Note:The path of some folders may be different depending on your system, but the basis is similar.

I need to solve some mysteries, bye bye.

If your mod is related to events/enemies, open the folder of the mod in question (usually located at steamapps\workshop\content\913740 ) until you see all the .ito files (if it’s an event and enemy pack, there will be several files) and the folder with images related to the events. Copy and paste all the files into the "custom" folder (the folder names must be in lowercase). The "custom" folder will be located in AppData/Local/wohgame.

If it's a character mod, place the mod files in the "characters" folder, which must be manually created in the same directory ( AppData/Local/wohgame ).
As for mysteries, there’s no secret; just create a folder named "mystery" inside the game’s root directory and copy the mod files into this folder.

Make sure the folder names and files you’re copying are correct. This method works since I downloaded the game and tested it myself. I believe there might be a small detail you’re missing.

Nevermind, I figured it out. it's basically what you said, but you put the folders directly in the "WOH" Folder

I think the files may have been updated. I see the game in my folders as "WOH" (and there's a "wohgame.app" folder inside it)

The "WOH" folder has the game in it, so to make it recognize the Character, Events, and Mystery Mods, do I need to make these folders in the "WOH" Folder or the "wohgame.app" folder?
