Wysteria

Wysteria was once a trade post and pleasant enough small town in the Wizard City cluster, not too far away but of little consequence in the overall scheme of things, until a magical incident occurred that caused a crawling vine to grow and completely overrun the town.

Pigswick Academy
Pigswick Academy is located at the heart of Wysteria and is a rival school to Ravenwood. Inside the walls of this city a very special Magic tournament is about to take place and in your journey to solve the mystery involving the theft of an important school treasure it will be up to you to defend the honor and good name of Ravenwood School of Magical Arts!

Pegasus Place
Normally home to a host of pegasus aerie, this street has been overrun by a wave of goblins and hobgoblins, fierce and horrible creatures who escaped to Wysteria by hitching a ride with some unwitting students. They have blocked off the street, run amok and caused considerable damage to buildings, and are storming around, menacing students and residents alike.

Tanglewood Way
Tanglewood Way is ruled by the forces of nature. The gates are completely entangled with vines, which seem impassible, and two guards stand outside it keeping people away. Near the gate entrance is a crack in the wall that looks large enough for a young Wizard to sneak through...

Those who are victorious win honor and praise and glory. Those who fall short...well, they are welcome to try again. Once they have healed from their injuries, of course!

The Immortal Games are divided into three parts. The first is hosted in the majestic halls of Olympus, then Wizards journey underwater to Atlantea and finally to the dangerous Tartarus underworld. Will you brave the games?

Tale of Four Dungeons

It is time to revisit some familiar places, open closed doors, and explore new regions previously only spoken of in whispers. It is a chance to rekindle old relationships and to finally tie up some loose ends. It is a time to wander off the well-traveled path and to challenge oneself as never before.

Kembaalung
An urgent call from Sergeant Major Talbot summons the Wizard to Krokotopia, where Talbot explains that a Royal Expeditionary Force has gone missing. The trade ship arrived from distant Kembaalung, but Lord George Beagle wasn’t on it! Talbot urges the Wizard to travel to distant Kembaalung, on the outskirts of MooShu, and investigate the disappearance of the Expeditionary Force! The Monks of Harmony will no doubt know something about what occurred, but can they be convinced to help before something dire befalls Lord Beagle?

Barkingham Palace
Sherlock Bones calls the Wizard to Marleybone where dark tidings surround the royal residence. Why is Barkingham shut tightly tonight, and what are those strange yowling and clanking sounds emanating from the gardens? Sherlock Bones helps the Wizard gain entry into the long-locked doors of Barkingham Palace, to ensure the Queen’s safety at all costs. The guards are acting strangely tonight and many strange faces seem to be running through the grounds. But between Sherlock’s cunning mind, Watson’s endless reserve, and the Wizard’s powerful spells, all will be put right this evening.

House of Scales
Some time ago, a Wizard recovered a hieroglyph key after defeated dark forces that had invaded Briskbreeze Tower. Now Alhazred and his assistant, Aleema, believe this key is the, well, key to unlocking a dark omen. However, dangerous thugs have overrun the Krokotopian village of Zigazag, where Aleema is conducting her research. Alhazred sends the Wizard to protect Aleema from the thugs and help her with her investigation, which points to the topsy-turvy House of Scales, a great looming monument said to be the gateway to the underworld!

Castle Darkmoor
It is time to face the greatest of challenges and the deadliest of terrors – Malistaire the Undying has seated himself at the top of the grim, gothic fortress called Castle Darkmoor. And he has issued a challenge to the Wizard to face him in this gauntlet of cold shadows and sinister traps. The monsters of Darkmoor take many faces and many forms. Will the Wizard find any help here to survive the night, or will the children of darkness endlessly sing of the Wizard’s failures?

Once an advanced militant society, Dragonspyre had an esteemed Academy rivaling that of the Ravenwood School of Magical Arts in Wizard City. The inhabitants once held a special interest in Fire Magic.

Legend has it that in the summoning of a great Dragon Titan, the world was destroyed and changed forever. Its great buildings and stone columns crumbled before the coming of the Dragon Titan.

Celestia

Long ago, the Astral Wizards of Celestia created powerful magic using the energy of the Stars, the Moon, and the Sun. The sorceress Morganthe, a Queen of the Shadow Web, wanted the secrets of the Celestian magic at all costs. The Celestians refused her, so she raised a Dark Army and sent it against Celestia. After decades of battle, the Astral Wizards realized their world would fall. They summoned the Storm Titan to defeat Morganthe’s legions and to take their world to a place of safety.

The Storm Titan betrayed the Celestians by sinking their world beneath the Waves along with Morganthe’s invading forces. Realizing they were doomed, the Celestians raised mighty Domes to protect some of their treasured city from the waves, though it was too late! They perished along with Morganthe's invading army. Celestia was lost to the Spiral, its Spiral Door closed forever.

Centuries later, a team of brave explorers from the Spiral Geographic Society, led by Sir Thurston Plunkett, re-discovered Celestia. They landed with an Air-Ship and built Exploratory Undersea Domes to explore Celestia’s ruins. Plunkett and his fellow explorers soon realized that Celestia was now inhabited by a strange new culture... the Crustacean Empire. Unfortunately, the explorers did not come alone to Celestia. Morganthe’s followers, the Shadow Weavers, stand ready to take Celestia’s magic for their Queen.

After receiving the Spiral Geographic Society’s Distress Call, Headmaster Merle Ambrose of the Ravenwood School for Magic seeks any young Wizards brave enough to journey to the undersea world of Celestia and discover the secrets of its Lost Magic. Players who are a minimum of level 48 and who have completed the quest "The Final Countdown" in Dragonspyre will be called upon to explore Celestia.

Zafaria

When a group of Ravenwood students go missing on a class field trip, Wizards are summoned to Zafaria! Wizards discover that high tensions run throughout Zafaria, as ancient tribes clash over territory and resources, while Morganthe's agents sow the seeds of chaos. As war threatens to sweep over the grasslands and penetrate deep into the jungles, Morganthe plots to recover the heart of her lost power, and fulfill the words of prophecy.

Long ago, Zafaria was the home of Morganthe, but a Council of Wizards broke her power and buried her wand. They thought her dead until her recent reappearance. The world of ZAFARIA is old, but until recently has been cut off from the Spiral. It is a world of endless grasslands; dense, colorful jungles; and spectacular vistas. Azteca

Ten years ago a great comet appeared in the sky over Azteca, one of the oldest islands in the Spiral, a fragment of the First World. The comet panicked the Aztecosaurs and drove them to seek shelter in their underground mines. Most in the Spiral assumed Azteca was destroyed.

But Morganthe is drawn here to uncover the final secrets of Astral magic, the "primal Spiral" as it were. If she masters it, she can rewrite the words to the Song of Creation, and rebuild the Spiral into her own image.

In order to do so, she needs to hear the Song from the source – she must raise the oldest Aztecosaurs – the nine Lords of the Night – from the grave. But she needs help. Her first task is to learn just enough Aztecosaur Necromancy to bring someone back from the dead, after a fashion.

Wizards arrive to find the Aztecosaur City of Three Winds in chaos. The great pyramid has been damaged and taken over by the Umbra Legion. Undead threaten to billow up from the underground tombs and mines. A new, untested king sits on the throne. The Aztecosaurs blame the Avians (and in some cases, each other) for each crisis. And the comet still burns in the sky, portending doom!

Khrysalis Part 1 and 2

Khrysalis Part 1

Still confident from her victory in Azteca, Morganthe has chained the souls of the oldest Aztecosaurs and dragged them to her place of power, the world of Khrysalis. They are teaching her Bartleby’s primal song, which will allow her to rewrite the Spiral in her image.

The Council of Light, that ancient assembly under the leadership of Merle Ambrose, knows it has precious little time to act. Ambrose gathers what is left of the council – the Emperor of MooShu, Diego the Duelmaster and Lydia Greyrose – and they come up with a desperate plan: arm the Wizards and send them into the spider’s fangs. The call to action is now!

Morganthe has created an eldritch ward to hold back her ancient enemies. But the Council of Light believes the heroic Wizards can use trickery and willpower to slip through her defenses, in their last, best hope to shatter her plans.

The Wizards travel to a small Spiral island, a fragment of a broken world lost to time. From the edge of this island, one can see the dark swirl of Khrysalis. The Wizards will explore Morganthe's world, searching for ways to disrupt her power, helping those pinned down under the weight of her tyranny, and learning the secrets of her magic in order to have a chance of restoring the Spiral.

Merle Ambrose and your new-found ally, Zaltanna the MirrorMask, warn that the way will only grow more dangerous henceforth, as Morganthe is well aware of your presence.

You must navigate Maelstrom of the Starfall Sea, the strange city of the Mantises, and the brutal Kondha Desert, in order to find two great relics to Astral magic. In the process, you may learn something of the distant past and the great forces that keep the Spiral turning.

Fierce Mantis Hunters, savage Barbarian Mice, violent Scorpion Warriors, and sinister Arachna Magi all stand in your way. Finally, you need to traverse the Spider's Hive to have any hope of reaching Morganthe in her Shadow Palace before the end game. Meanwhile, Morganthe does not wait idly, but instead she listens to the Lords of Night sing the Song of Creation, and struggles to master it to send her shadow stretching out to swallow everything in the Spiral.

It seems a lifetime ago that Malistaire stole the Eye of History from Grandfather Tree in Ravenwood, but as the Tree’s condition worsens, Bartleby himself suggests that recovering the Eye may be his best hope.

Upon learning that a shadowy “Cabal” took the Eye to the world of Mirage, the Wizard must journey to this land of shifting sands and shifting allegiances, where the Dromel Nomads and House Qhats are facing their own troubles. A colossal sand storm has set the Winds of Change into motion and reawakened an evil Overlord who’s determined to re-establish his ancient dominion.

Joining forces with a jaded floating skull named Ozzy and a dreamy Djinni named Istar, the Wizard works to unite the divided factions of Mirage and form a defense against the Overlord’s armies. But when new conspiracies emerge and the Wizard’s enemies prove to be more elusive than expected, it becomes a race against Time itself to stop Grandfather Spider’s schemes from leading to a catastrophic conclusion.

Empyrea part 1 and 2

Empyrea Part 1
While the Wizard managed to rescue Bartleby’s Eye of History from Grandfather Spider and the Cabal in Mirage, the endeavor came at a heavy cost: Mellori was taken by Grandfather Spider. Spider believes she is the key to unlocking his Chaos Heart from its ancient bonds in the storm-shrouded world of Empyrea.

The center of the Spiral, Empyrea, was painstakingly created by Raven to keep the Chaos Heart safe and Spider out. In fact, it was designed to keep pretty much everyone out.

The Chaos Heart sits at the center of Empyrea, secured by three great Paradox Chains, and serves as the anchor point to a world comprised of disparate lands inhabited by diverse beings. Raven enveloped Empyrea in a violent storm the likes of which even she cannot pass or see through. You see, Raven has known from the beginning that Spider reclaiming his Chaos Heart would spell an end to the Spiral she lovingly created.

As the old adage says, there’s no rest for the weary Wizard – especially when the fate of the Spiral is at stake.

Empyrea Part 2
Medulla has been defeated and Mellori was recovered from the clutches of the Cabal. But the first of the three Paradox Chains binding Grandfather Spider's Chaos Heart is broken, Bat escaped with Mellori's Luminiferous Essence, and Mellori herself is near death. To make matters even worse, Grandmother Raven is planning to destroy the Spiral!

As Chaos and Order prepare for a final battle that will bring an end to everything, the Wizard must return to Empyrea - to islands both new and familiar - as Bartleby's Scion, as his agent of peace. They must discover Mellori’s true nature and find the duplicitous Bat. Along the way, they will uncover past betrayals and present secrets, navigate treacherous politics and defeat fabled monsters, and fight to protect the final two Paradox Chains, keeping Spider’s Heart from either side.

Ultimately the Wizard must bring an end to a conflict that pre-dates the Spiral, before reality itself crumbles and there is Nothing left to save.

Karamelle

It all begins with an invitation. The Wizard is asked to represent the Arcanum at a Grand Summit to repair their Schism with the Cabal. But is it a trap?

Of course not! Indeed, the Summit is hosted on the sweetest world of them all: Karamelle, home of Nana’s Olde Fashioned Karamelle Delights, the Spiral’s foremost provider of sweets and savories. This is a world of happy Gnomes and Fairies, smiling Hamsters, industrious Nibbelung Moles, and the ever-charming Gobblers.

Bad things do not happen on Karamelle. There are no traps, no Gummy Bears going sour, no mysteries or betrayals. And there are certainly no Witches cursing people with their words. No, no, no, nothing ever goes wrong on Karamelle.

Karamelle is a world of smiles, of Gumdrop Forests and Licorice Trees, of Chocolate Mines and Soda Lakes. Happy villages stretch from Karamelle City to Gutenstadt and everyone, everywhere, is always singing and whistling while they work.

So come to Karamelle. There is nothing to fear.

Lemuria

A mysterious entity has appeared to the Wizard in the guise of the Old One. Confused and lost, it knows only one thing for certain: it must find the world of Lemuria. The only problem: there is no such world.

Investigate the lost fragments of history and uncover the silent crime so monumental it shook the Spiral. And in the process, discover a world of worlds, a mishmash of the strange and familiar maintained by the enigmatic Lemurs. In this place, bears never learned to fight, Manders never learned to serve and Water Moles… well, they actually learned a lot.

And it is in this place that heroes are forged. Barbarians triumph in the untamed Mandoria, while polymaths excel in the floating Sky City. Monster hunters are needed to survive the gloomy Night Forest, while the Wildlands are protected by a mysterious violet Ghost.

But there is a greater danger than they can know, hidden for centuries. Amidst the jungles and deserts and cities of Lemuria is one last great secret that, if left undiscovered, could unravel Everything.

Novus

The World Synthesizer was destroyed and then, almost immediately, strange rocks appeared over several worlds, each of them connected to each other through magic and thought. Together, they form Novus, a new world, an unusual world, a gift to the peoples of the Spiral, a gift from… Something.

To the people of Marleybone, it grants New Vicorgia – a land of plenty and of hydrants. To the Pingouins of Polaris comes the frozen utopia of La Ville Rose where the fish dance and sing. And to the Monkeys and the Unicorns is granted Puerto Nuovo, rich in art and bananas. But the call of Novus goes beyond just these worlds, beyond these people. Listen carefully and hear in its winds as it whispers for the Wizard.

And so you must reach this world through its most accessible shard, floating over the distant realm of Catmandu. Discover weird and wonderful landscapes that bend dreams into truth. Navigate the complex politics of the Spiral empires and prevent this Novus’ gifts from being wielded by conquerors and madmen. Master new magicks, unravel conspiracies and preserve Novus from those who would corrupt it.
