The Tower Tricks
1. When moving items like desks, lamps, etc., to other floors, you can drag your mouse over all the items you want to move, and then move them all together at once. This avoids having to move your whole printing setup, or reporters desks with posters and maps and clocks and so on one by one.
1b. This is useful for always keeping your printer setup the top floor. Since printers don't need any hands-on work from anyone except maintenance, always pushing the printer higher is the most efficient use of space.

2. You don't have to wait for your Storage worker to pick up paper and food deliveries from the street, you can pick them up with your mouse and drag them into your tower. Not only can you put the paper in the storage rack, but you can also DROP IT DIRECTLY INTO THE PRINTER! Since the storage racks take up such a lot of space, in the early game you don't even need to install them, you can just drop all the paper into the printer. I haven't found the maximum amount of paper the printer can hold, but I've had it up around 1,000 paper or so. You can also drop food straight into the water fountain, coffee machine, etc.

3. Put a bathroom next to the stairs on the lower level. If your reporters need to use the bathrooms, they can go on their way back up to their desks. Same with your typesetters, who should always be positioned on the lower level so they can get reporter stories faster.

4. There should be only 1 stairwell door on each level, placed as close to the center as possible. Extra stair doors are a waste of space. Position the workspaces around where the doors are, rather than placing doors around where the workspaces are. Each floor should have a bathroom and food item next to the stairs.

5. If mobsters come around and bust up any of your desks, delete them and buy another one. It's faster than waiting for maintenance to come and fix it.
World Map & Area MapTricks
1. When you're searching for Mafia or Mayor stories, start the week off by dumping any non-Mafia/Mayor stories from the map with the Recycle button at the top right of the globe. Money from stories is easy to come by, but influence is rare. Never fail a mission because your globe is clogged up with stories you don't want. To assist with this, always buy more Telegraphers when you can. Being able to select good stories is better than settling for whatever they dig up first.

2. Breaking Stories appear suddenly and need 3 reporters of 1 category to complete on a tight deadline. Usually you will be unable to send 1 reporter to the same breaking story since the timeline is so short. If you need another 1 or 2 reporters to complete the story, you can throw down a couple more desks, hire some reporters with that skill, then fire them after they complete the story since there is no repercussion for firings.

3. Silver and Gold level stories can be completed half way, then left to sit on the globe until late in the week (Saturday/Sunday, depending on time) so they will be ready to complete and print the following week. Only stories which complete all the way through reporting, typesetting, and assembly during the current week will become Old News the following week. Once you have these stories in your queue, you can search the Area Map for new territory that requires these stories, and pick your next district goal based on what you have queued up. Having extra telegraphers is good for this, since leaving a story on the map won't let them reveal another story until that one is finished. If you're worried that a good story will finish before you are ready to publish, you can prioritize other stories before it.

I would like to add to the Word Map and Area tricks:
2. Breaking stories can have 4 slots, and can be different from the main topic. Just recently had Community News where the mid one was Politics. Good thing to now is that we can have stories open as much as Telegraphers we have, but the Breaking News is spawned, and counted as an extra story
3. You can save golden stories for other later use in other district, however it is taking up 1 Telegrapher in the process. These stories are always multi-part, so it can take time for them to be finished, however if you do not have time or resources, you can leave it to cook on stove until later. Do not forget, these are also time limited (although 4 days), and if they are discovered early in the week, it is real waste to have a Telegrapher out (especially early game)

Yup, those are the advice missing from the tutorial, where Tower Trick #2 is the most crucial one.I was both pissed and excited once I realized that drop boxes can be moved by hand... Hopefully some of these things could get in the Tutorial.
