This guide is to equip anyone making sticker crafts or buying crafts from a marketplace with the knowledge of what has changed with stickers.

This guide takes the sticker changes to their core and displays at a surface level what has changed visually, but it also explains how stickers now function with custom placement, small quirks like how slot numbers are now arranged, and so on. ~these in depth details are still WIP

Please note that this guide displays the legacy CS:GO models, as technically all sticker presets on the CS2 gun models are new. Additionally skins that are on the legacy model make a lot of sense to document here as they represent a clash between the old and the updated. It is also impossible to have a skin that was released in CS2 to have an old sticker size and preset.

WIP, but this is a cool section ~signed by me at 7am :/

- Stickers now have a coordinate system that places the sticker relative to its preset slot. That means that two stickers with exactly the same coordinate data will be placed in completely different spots if the preset they are initially placed onto before being moved is different. However, identical coordinates between stickers will have the same distance away from its original preset even if different presets are used.

- Stickers that are applied to a preexisting craft will always be shown on the right side of the stickers that were already on the skin while looking at the applied sticker icons in the inventory.
Slot numbers are ordered by the apply order, not numerical order. This means that you can often now tell if someone recently crafted onto an old craft based on that order (which can tell you if the new sticker is using the new sticker sizes) [image defo needed].

- Stickers that are newly applied on a skin will always be layered on top of other already applied stickers. You can no longer apply a sticker below another one (as was possible for certain presets on certain guns before the sticker update).
