This is a 1:1 scaled map of Frankfurt/Main (Germany) and vicinity. The OSM-TPF2-Importer[github.com] tool was applied to import streets, tracks, forests, and town labels from OpenStreetMap in an automated way. This savegames serves as a demonstration case for the tool. Despite terrain preperation before the import, there was no manual construction - everything you see there was placed automatically!

Map Details:
  • Map size: Meglomaniac square (24.6 x 24.6 km)
  • Track Length: 880 km (12 915 edges)
  • Street Length: 10 478 km (310 229 edges)
  • Tree models: 4.5 million
  • File size: 1.65 GB

WARNING!
This is a highly resource intensive savegame! Due to the large number of imported track/street segments, much RAM is consumed. At least 48 GB is recommended, I can't tell how fluid it will run with 32.

Mods:
Although 123 mods are enabled, the map should be loadable without all of them. Only the essential mods for OSM-Importer[github.com] should be necessary.

Only the mods from the list should be necessary to get the map running.
CommonAPI is not needed!

Schade, ich hätte das gerne mal ausprobiert, aber der Spielstand kann nicht gestartet werden, trotzdem alle Mods (laut GitHub) installiert sind. Die verd.... CommonAPI ist ständig am rummeckern. Mal fehlen mods mal sind sie da, Himmel Herrgott nochmal. Nach ewigem Hin und Her mit der CommonAPI habe ich entnervt aufgegeben.

Ich hatte auch Probleme mit dem NEP-Addon. Aber habs dann einfach ohne NEP probiert, das ging. Tolles Projekt, bin gespannt wie sich die technik entwickelt und ob wir irgendwann auf Knopfdruck funktionierende und gut aussehende Spielwelten erzeugen können.

Versuche seit Stunden, die Karte zum Laufen zu bringen, bekomme das mit dem NEP Adon nicht hin, bin so vorgegangen wie beschreiben. Habe die Dateien kopiert, wie man von Github was runterlädt bekomme ich auch nicht hin. Im spiel wird der Addon Mod gefordert. Ist er nicht da, startet das Spiel nicht. schade. Eigentlich habe ich die meißten mods auch, aber in Steam, jetzt muss ich nochmal 100 Mods lokal suchen, laden und doppelt installieren. Veilleicht schaffe ich es irgendwann, gebe nicht auf.

Also, I have experience with external MODs. I asked because I had no experience in collecting each part and putting them in one folder. The solution is to use the tag button above.
Lastly, I think it's amazing how you can create MODs that can be created from maps, so thank you.

I cant really tell how TPF2 and your OS will handle it for different hardware. I would rather expect a slideshow than an explosion, but as always "No liability for damage to software and hardware" ^^

And have a look on the installation of NEP Addon! Maybe it loads without this, it might complain about a few missing track types.

The NEP Addon is currently not available on a mod site, but this will follow. Use Code > Download Zip or Tags [github.com] and extract. How do I download the files that follow?
There is a download button when I get to each text file, but I don't know how to download the resolution file as is.
In addition, after downloading everything, should I put them in one file folder, give it a name of my own, and put it in the external MOD folder?

By the way, my PC is a used Super High Spec $350, so it's not possible, but I wanted to ask the question for future reference. If I tried to run it, I would think that the PC would freeze and the right straight that had destroyed the past three PCs would explode, so I have given up from the beginning.
