Summary

This guide offers you an effective way to improve your performance in CS2 without the need to invest additional funds in hardware. This document focuses on modifying configuration files, presenting a safe and effective alternative to more invasive interventions that could cost you your account.

Introduction

Experiencing insufficient performance in CS2 can be frustrating, considering that, even with a relatively good PC and minimal graphical settings, you experience fps below what is desirable. By adjusting some game files — the .cfg file — you can drastically reduce the demand on your system, allowing you to achieve the fps you always wanted.
Here’s the key: while this method will involve compromising visual fidelity—think lower resolution textures and reduced image rendering—the performance gain is massive.

Clarification

Worried about possible bans? This approach only involves configuration files and does not touch the main game files such as DLLs or low-level settings on the game's graphic engine — the latter can cause bans, but we won’t be doing any of that —, ensuring that you stay completely in the safe zone.

What are we going to do within this setup?

Disable unnecessary options that consume resources but provide little or no benefit in the game.
Reduce the image rendering demand to lower the load on your GPU.

I reiterate: This method is completely safe from VAC, as it only adjusts settings to a level of detail that in-game options do not allow, all within the operational parameters of the game. Remember, the goal here is to maximize performance without venturing into the murky waters of prohibited modifications.

1. Locating the file

Head to the main Steam folder where the userdata folder is usually located at
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata

Select your user, which will have many numbers.
If you have multiple accounts or do not know which is your user number go to the following page, enter your name and look for your Steam3 ID
Steam ID Finder[steamid.pro]

Once in your user folder, you must go to the CS2 ID which is 730, then local, and finally cfg
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\1234567890\730\local\cfg

2. Modifying the file

The file in question that we need to configure is cs2_video.txt

You can make a copy of the file by saving it somewhere else

Now simply replace the original content with the appropriate profile from the following sections.

Lo unico que tenes que hacer seba es copiar y pegar, a mi tampoco me aparecen por default esas opciones, son opciones ocultas pero que funcionan totalmente como ves en las imagenes
