We just need to edit one file...
In order to achieve good quality textures you need to first locate your GZW config file. But don't worry, we won't have to look far. To locate GZW folder with configs hit
Win+R and type in the text field "appdata" > hit ENTER.
Your File Explorer should open said location. If you have problems with this step maybe you need to enable one setting in File Explorer.
Then head to "Show" and enable Show Hidden Items setting

Once you have completed those steps. You should be able to see all hidden files and folders in your Windows.
Now we need to look for a GZW location.
In AppData head to Local and search for GZW folder.
Double click and head to Saved then Config and finally WindowsClient
AppData\Local\GZW\Saved\Config\WindowsClient
There you should see file GameUserSettings.ini open that file with Notepad. We will edit One line.

Locate the following textstring sg.TextureQuality note it's value, if it's set to ZERO, change it to 4 and hit Ctrl+S to save config file. Now go and launch your Gray Zone Warfare.
You should be able to see the difference right away.
But please note, that now your GPU is processing high resolution textures so if your rig was struggling with performance, this change in settings will likely decrease that performance even more. Let's hope that MFG will implement some more robust optimisations in the near future.

That's it.

Thanks man i was able to change alot, everything was on Epic and 3 in the settings file.
Changed the following:

sg.ViewDistanceQuality=4
sg.AntiAliasingQuality=4
sg.ShadowQuality=3
sg.GlobalIlluminationQuality=3
sg.ReflectionQuality=3
sg.PostProcessQuality=3
sg.TextureQuality=4
sg.EffectsQuality=3
sg.FoliageQuality=3
sg.ShadingQuality=3
sg.LandscapeQuality=4
sg.ResolutionQuality=100

Some things i kept on 3 because of the perfomance hit.

I use Notepad++ for text file editing. Also, check the file properties and make sure its not set to 'read-only' before you try to change anything modify it. ini. files sometime default to read only. Uncheck the box, make the changes, then save and re-check it. See if that helps.

This has not worked for my PC with an AMD GPU for some reason. I have changed the texture value =4 multiple times, and it does not save, and always defaults to my in-game settings (epic =3). Perhaps only available with Nvidia cards running DLSS? Would love if someone could respond and comment whether this is correct or not, or if any AMD users have been able to make it work. I'm also guessing perhaps you have to load into the game on Low settings at start so all values are 0? Perhaps it doesn't work for 1440p players/settings, as my game defaulted to Medium for all graphics settings, which would set all the values to 2.

@Leth1 That is the preview pane in Windows. I would like to know how it shows the text formatting though.
