Space and how it functions
𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭:
Pawns need 'Space', which is satisfied by the available tiles/space value.

The space score is calculated as:
(1.4 x tiles where you can stand) + (0.5 x tiles you can walk through)

Depending on the available tiles, a pawn's mood will be affected, these mood affects are broken into four levels of room spaciousness.

(0%) or (1, 3 tiles) gives the 'confined interior' debuff.
(1%-29%) or (4, 10 tiles) gives the 'cramped interior' debuff.
(30%-69%) or (11, 40 tiles) provides no buff or debuff.
(70% - 100%) or (41, more) gives the "spacious interior' buff.

𝐍𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬:

Navigatable tiles are tiles that objects can take up, but pawns can still walk through. Example: (lamps, trees, benches)
These tiles are worth less in comparison to the next type of tile we add for the space value.

𝐎𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐩𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬:

Occupiable tiles are tiles that pawns can walk through and stand on, even if specific objects (such as chairs) are in place. Tiles which pawns can stand in are held in higher regard towards the space value

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐩 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞?

Any tiles taken up by objects that block a pawn will no longer add to the total space value. Some objects that do this are beds, tables, and workbenches.
Bedroom influences on pawns
Introduction:
RimWorld, bedrooms are a fundamental aspect of your colony’s infrastructure. They serve as private spaces for your pawns to rest and rejuvenate. The design and functionality of bedrooms can have a significant impact on the well-being and productivity of your colonists.

Function of Bedrooms:

Privacy: Bedrooms provide a secluded space for pawns to sleep without being disturbed by others, which is crucial for avoiding the “disturbed sleep” mood penalty1.
Temperature Control: A well-constructed bedroom maintains a stable temperature, ensuring pawns are comfortable during harsh weather conditions.
Healing: Injured or sick pawns recover more effectively in a private bedroom than in a communal space.

Positive Effects on Pawns:

Mood Improvement: A well-furnished and spacious bedroom can significantly boost a pawn’s mood, leading to better overall performance.
Comfort: Sleeping in a proper bed within a bedroom provides a comfort bonus, which contributes to a pawn’s restfulness.
Relationships: Couples prefer to sleep together in the same bed, and a double bed in a private bedroom accommodates this need without disturbing each other’s sleep.
Optimised start to support further growth
The first room you place should be what will become your recreation room.

Placing the recreational room first allows you to easily branch out to other rooms such as the cooking/freezer, bedrooms and storage.

Initially this room will contain everything, so 11x11 or 13x13 is recommended as they provide all required space in the early game as well as space to add crafting stations later on and further recreational facilities.
The recreational room is where your pawns should be eating, along side all recreational builds
(book-shelf, horse-shoe-pin. ect).

Its important to remember that when branching out to create the other room you want to ensure that they're placed well-optimised in terms of pawn travel time, the longer a pawn needs to move
( example : from the freezer to recreational room to eat ) the less time they will have to work.

in simple terms more walking less working
Simple tips
Stone cutting
After you've placed your initial base, its massively recommended that the designated crafter pawn is set to stone cutting early on so when the required materials are needed they are ready to use.

Growing room
Making a walled in growing room unless you plan to use hydroponics, this allows pawns to safely grow & sow.
