Norfolk Southern

The Evolution Series is a line of diesel locomotives built by GE Transportation Systems (now owned by Wabtec), initially designed to meet the U.S. EPA's Tier 2 locomotive emissions standards that took effect in 2005. The first pre-production units were built in 2003. Evolution Series locomotives are equipped with either AC or DC traction motors, depending on the customer's preference. All are powered by the GE GEVO engine.

The Evolution Series was named as one of the "10 Locomotives That Changed Railroading" by Trains Magazine and was the only locomotive series introduced after 1972 to be included in that list.

The Evolution Series locomotives are some of the best-selling and most successful freight locomotives in United States history.

- Consist: 2 Engines + 9 cars (engines switch direction)
- Norfolk Southern in their standard livery
- Two variants of NS Engines with different roof configuration (80xx, 81xx)
- Double stack containers with Maxi IV well cars.
- Directional headlights with Additive Shader.
- 1:1 scale, fits under R2 USA wires.

- Asset relies heavily on texture/material share in order to optimize performance:
- Trailer use same textures from previous releases that have MaxiIV trailers
- All engines share textures
- The final load on RAM should be around 8MB for engine, 8mb for cars.

- Containers and cars made by Nostrix

- Screens show all lights on all engines are lit, this is fixed post screenshots, only front engine has lights on.
- All NS trains share same texture for optimisation.
