Re-Enable the Original Intro

Do you remember playing Halo Wars on Xbox 360 with the Ensemble Studios startup screen? While Halo Wars: Definitive Edition has a different intro, the original from the Xbox 360 release is still in the game files.

I remember seeing a guide for this before, but I can't find it anymore so I'll make one here.

Navigating To the Video Folder

Start by opening the local files for Halo Wars: Definitive Edition

Open the folder titled "video"

Renaming Files

There are 3 files you will need to rename.

Start by renaming 343_Intro.bik and MSGameStudio_Intro.bik, simply adding a dash to the end of the name is enough. (ex. 343_Intro-.bik) This will prevent the intros from playing.

Now find unratedLogos.bik and rename it to either 343_Intro.bik or MSGameStudio_Intro.bik.

And you're done.

Close the file explorer and launch the game, the original intro should play.
