If you find a gun in chest, this is how you load it. First, point the gun up. Take the bottle thing from the chest and pour some pellets from it into the barrel of your gun for 1 second (the pellets are gunpowder). If you pour too many pellets into the gun it will explode from your hand and damage you when fired. Next, the box of balls and take one out (press trigger if you are using an Oculus headset). Put it into barrel of the gun. Pull back the lever on the side of the gun to prime it for shooting. Now you are ready to shoot! Aim at your target and pull the trigger. Note: aiming is hard in this game, so practice!

wait pour the gunpowder for only one second? wouldn't that make the shot really weak? i pour gunpowder in my gun for 5-8 seconds note that my counting might be a little quick but still i feel like 1 second is pretty quick. does it matter how much gunpowder you put into the gun in this game for more damage or am i just wasting gunpowder.

and then accidentally shoot your self on night of day fourteen and loose all the progress to unlocking everything

you can also misfire the gun if you prep it for firing then putting it near fire

It's not the aiming that is hard, it's the "technology level" of the gun used that is super bad. Flintlock pistols are smoothbore (aka: the projectile doesn't "roll around its axis while flying, which makes the flightpath very unstable) and they shoot round bullets - also not good for a stable flightpath.

So even if you are an aiming god there is a lot of luck involved with medium to high distances. The closer, the better. Never feel bad for missing your target. You are trying to survive with 'broken' tools :D

Actually a great detail that the pistol is that inaccurate. Really adds to the atmosphere. You are not the hunter... you are prey. The only thing that will save you is the fire god.

Nice little gun-tutorial, thank you. I didn't know that the pistol can explode when you overdo it with the powder. How cool is that.
