GIC is a mod for Starbound and pits you against the environment in a frenetic mix of high-intensity ranged and melee combat. Fight with brutal methodical and mundane tactics, or blitz through with high-speed magic and melee!

FULL BUILD:

Armor Set: Amanojaku/Flagellant (3x Pieces)
When taking 50HP+ damage: Heals 50HP over 5s | 10s cooldown | DMG right after a hit (i.e Bleeding) will continue to proc recovery until healed. Stacks per piece.

Scavenger Backpack:
Additional 50HP.

Trinkets:

Soldier Slayer Loop:
Nearby enemies are marked. When a marked enemy receives more than 90HP base damage (unaffected by damage weaknesses) in a single strike, the affected unit takes 100HP extra damage and is afflicted with 25hp BLEED damage-over-time for 3 seconds. 15s cooldown per proc.

Electro-Frost Earring:
Nearby enemies are marked. When a marked enemy takes 50HP+ base damage, they receive ICE DMG and are afflicted with an ELECTRIC Damage-over-Time for 3s | 60 ICE DMG and 150 ELECTRIC DMG, for a total of 210 DMG | 20s cooldown per unit.

Ring of Supremacy:
+20% EWS, ATK, and DODGE. On taking 10 or more damage, buff is disabled for 5s.

Erchius Clutch Ring:
Nearby enemies take 1.25x SMALL-ARMS DMG.

M1A1 Thompson:
- Witch's Foregrip - Improved recoil control.
- Okuu Control Rod - Increased damage the further the target is.
- Erchius Crystal Sight - Increased accuracy.

G11:
- Reactive Heat Shroud - Increased Accuracy for a few seconds after taking damage.
- Vampir Scope - Marks enemy targets. No effect.
- Pulse Mine Launcher - Launches a mine that pushes away all units.

From The Ashes, You Shall Rise
Fight your way through the madness, where every mundane man, youkai, and otherworldly entity hates each other as much as they hate you. Where the rules are molded at a moment's notice and death comes quick for all - especially for those unable or unwilling to adapt.

Employ an arsenal of lethal ballistic weaponry from the World Wars to the Cold War which can end a life in a mere couple of shots, as well as supporting an on-the-fly attachments system for various parts which can be scavenged or bought, giving your guns an edge on the battlefield. Need protection? Replace your sight with a gun shield. Need a support tool? Equip a corrosive grenade launcher. Want to shoot ice bullets? Put on an elemental barrel.

Or deliver close-ranged strikes with the vast armory of slow, but deliberate melee weapons inspired by the likes of souls titles, such as axes, halberds, and buckler shields. Bring the fight to the enemy in close-quarters with your light attacks, and dedicated heavy attacks.

Equip trinkets to give yourself the top edge on the battlefield. Favor aggression? Equip a trinket that restores your health on a kill. Need more defense? Equip a hardlight shield generator to tank any hit for you every few seconds. Need allies? Equip one of the myriad of defensive drones and spirits to take down your foes for you.

Inspired by the likes of Remnant: From the Ashes, Risk of Rain, Touhou, and modern shooters, GIC aims to combine them all into a cohesive package that encourages both melee and gunplay in a handcrafted high-intensity experience.

New trinkets, new weapons, new locales, hand-crafted mission-like dungeons, new armors, ruthless ranged AI, boss-like hand-crafted melee enemies, new consumables, new bosses, and much more await players who live for the thrill, the rush of life and death.

Where worlds collide, the magical and the mundane meet. Where the magical and the mundane meet, a new alliance is born.
