If you already own Dayz on steam then you should already own DayZ tools and Dayz server as well! To make a LAN server will require you to download DayZ server, if you cant see it in your games make sure you have software and tools check marked in search.

The original path to your DayZ server location should be
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZServer
Please remember to change the path to the drive that you have it installed on if not drive C

If you're having trouble finding the path
you can go to DayzServer in steam and find it by browsing local files

To install mods on your LAN server you"ll need to access the mod files in your workshop folder the path to the workshop folder is
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\!Workshop
Please adjust the path to suit the drive you have everything installed on if not drive C

If you cannot see the workshop folder
Go to the Dayz folder and click view at the top, then check the box that says show hidden folders

You can also get there by going to the mod in the Dayz launcher and clicking the 3 dots and choose browse local files

First copy the mods you want to install from the workshop folder into the main directory of your LAN server. you should be copying over the whole @modName folder


In every mod there should be a keys folder and inside that should be a file with a .bikey extension. For example modName.bikey you need to put this .bikey in the keys folder which is in the main server directory

you can download this start.bat Here[discord.com]. A start.bat is what gets your server to start running but this isn't included in your DayzServer installation so you will need to download one manually. I have one that you can download in the hyperlink above in my Discord. To edit the start.bat you will need to right click it and select edit using notepad. Windows or your antivirus will warn you! this is because many windows processes also use .bat files so any files with a .bat extension are usually suspect for windows, just ignore it and edit anyway.

If your server does not have any mods
You can simply remove the example @mod1;@mod2;@mod3 that I've added then save, close and run the start.bat.

If your server has mods
Replace the @mod1;@mod2;@mod3 with your own mods, make sure these names match the name of the mod folders exactly! Feel free to add more or less mods than this. After you're finished you can save, close and run the start.bat!
