Beskrivning
An Icy Zoner
Diamond is a dedicated zoner who utilizes a pair of animated snowflakes to lay frozen terror against any dare withstand her tempest. Learning how to take advantage of the extended reach afforded by the snowflakes will give Diamond players a unique power of spaces at a distance.

Neutral Special

Diamond launches a nearby snowflake and any floating snowflakes in one of 8 directions. The snowflake will fly a short distance, dragging opponents with it before launching them slightly upwards. Utilize this quick special to position your snowflakes in optimal locations.

Up Special

Diamond vanishes and quickly reappears at fixed distance in one of 8 directions. Upon arriving at her new location she lets out a burst of wind that knocks enemies upwards. If she passes through or lands on a floating Snowflake, the Snowflake will burst outwards and attack nearby enemies. This will also cause the Up Special to not end in pratfall, and allow Diamond to attack, special or jump cancel out of the Up Special.

Fspecial

Diamond summon a powerful gust of arctic wind from side of the stage. This wind lightly knocks up enemies and Diamond as it initially passes by. This leaves behind a windstream that gently pushes enemies who are in hitstun and pushes Diamond while airborne.

Also any floating Snowflakes caught in the windstream start to violently spin dealing damage to any enemies that touch them.

Note: This windstream stops at the opposing stage's end.

Dspecial

Diamond summons a whirling tempest of winter frost. This gathering of energy gets larger and more powerful with time as it charges. Then when a time limit is reached or when Dspecial is used again, the projectile shoots forward.

If there are any floating snowflakes on the battlefield, the projectile will seek out the closest one and then redirect to the other snowflake if it also is floating.

Strongs
Diamond's Strongs are fired off from where ever her snowflakes are. In addition, Diamond can launch her Strongs while airborne.

Summary Text. This is an example sentence to see how the images are positioned on the page.

@JMC_250

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. She definitely needs to be fleshed out, balanced and worked on. I especially want to finish her "fatality" win animation.

If you have any suggestions or ideas I'd love to hear them.

I do also like fox characters so that gives this point lol, I do like the mysterious vibe that she gives off, and how she uses her tail as a chair during combat if you crouch is kind of funny to me.

Good Sprite work, fun moveset, honestly a good twist on a zone with TWO projectile/controllable “puppet”. It’s fun, figuring out where to put the snowflakes and how to set them up in a certain way that it will hit. Feels almost as if you’re playing a mini game of chess during a fighting game. Honestly, if this character gets into rivals two as well as that ant wrestler, I might get it.

Overall, she's a surprisingly unique take on a cold-hearted zoner; and I'll definitely be picking her up when I'm feeling particularly sassy.

One last thing. It's a standard thing of mine to ask if you modders have headcanon voices for your characters; and this is no exception; so if you have one, what is it?

As for design:

As much as I love foxes, and as cute as her dismissive smile may be, her design leaves quite a bit to be desired. The only thing really separating her from any other arctic fox is the way her tail is animated (which I love by the way). I'm sure lots of furries are happy she's baring her coat for all to see; but if you're going to go that route, I prefer the fur to be formed and styled in a way that makes the character unique. She could certainly benifit from some kind of attire; or at the least some patterning on her fur to make her stand out a bit more. Then again, I suppose her exposure does make her stand out. Whatever the case may be, her design is a bit bland; and could use some more pizzazz. I do, however, love her animations. She oozes confidence and playfulness; and watching her sway around while bombarding the opponent with thousands of tiny ice blades is oddly funny to me.

Welp, I'm back. Hello. Here to leave my review of this character.

So, first of all, I wanna say that zoners aren't really my favorite kind of character to use in Platform Fighters; but I had quite a bit of fun with this one. I've seen plenty of characters with these kinds of directable projectiles before; but this is my favorite take on them. The snowflakes aren't just a flying object that breaks after a few hits. They're versatile. The can guard, combo, flurry, spike, gimp, pretty much anything you need them to do. It makes them feel less like a needlessly complex projectile; and more like all purpose tools I can utilize in almost every situation. Her normals and all are okay; but she'd be nothing with those snowflakes making her so intriguing and different to play.

Hmmm... I like the vibes here; but she looks...

confusing...

You might hear from me later if I enjoy the character.
