An architect (mild wretching) acquaintance who happens to be a Kiwi but lives here in the States just built his dream house, on pylons or pillars or whatever I guess because of uneven terrain on a weird, narrow plot of land. Anyhow, the other day he told me that he is paying 110+K USD to have the entire house picked up and rotated 90 degrees to provide space for him and his family to enjoy, as he put it, "maximum decking!"
