Have you noticed that every time you finish a level for the first time, a little symbol of Sonic appears with a number underneath him? That is called an Emblem, and there are 180 of them total in the game. They can come from all types of different activities, such as finishing story mode, finishing all missions for a character, and even just doing stuff with your chao! In this guide, I plan to list out all of the Emblems you can obtain (and the minimum on how to obtain them). Be warned, if your after all 180, it will take quite some time (even for a veteran player!)

The way this guide works is it will list the stages or missions needed for each character, as well as what the requirement for an A Rank is. While all stages can be completed with less then an A Rank, and still bestow an emblem, the only way to get all 180 emblems will require that the player have an A rank in every mission.

For the Main Characters, the guide will be listed with a table like so...

Character

Its that simple. Since most of the levels generally follow the same formual (normal, 100 rings, chao, timed, hard), I plan to keep the Mission titles as that. so If you were to say, look for Tail's Mission Street's Time for the 3rd mission, it would fall under Lost Chao.

*Time varies in this mode, the main goal is just to get first place.


*I completed these on my main file, and I wasn't sure what the time was for 1st place. To be honest, unless you are extremely horrible at this game, you will never take more then 20 minuets per Boss attack, probably not even on All.

There is a reason to obtaining all 180 Emblems besides bragging rights (if your into bragging that is). Just by completing the 180 achievements, I can guarantee you will at least obtain these achievements!

Hello World
You are practically guaranteed this achievement just by turning the game on. You receive this by completing the first level of either HERO or DARK story. Impossible to miss.

HERO!
Will unlock once beating the HERO Side of the game. Does not require you to complete every mission for Hero, just the main story. This shouldn't be to hard, and even new players to this game can complete this with a few hours!

DARK!
Will unlock once beating the DARK Side of the game. Does not require you to complete every mission for Dark, just the main story. This shouldn't be to hard, and even new players to this game can complete this with a few hours!

Beyond Good And Evil
Will unlock once beating the LAST Side of the game. Does not require you to complete every mission for Cannon's, just the main story. If your having trouble, try to replay some levels and get all the upgrades (such as the air necklace). Also adding on a lot of lives might be good too.

Mission Complete
Simply get all A Ranks in one character's stage. I think either Dry Lagoon or Wild Canyon would be the easiest to complete this, since there requirements are pretty low and can be done very fast. You'll unlock this pretty fast if your after the all A Ranks.

You Are The Legend
Obtain all A Ranks on All missions. This just means get an A Rank on all the Hero, Dark, and Cannon's Core missions. You do not need to complete everything else. In short, you will need the 155 Emblems form those categories.

Chao Raiser
Sorry to break it to you, but there is no way you can finish the Chao Racing or Karate without having a chao that is way beyond Level 10. This will be unlocked once you have all Chao attributes past Level 10 (Yes all of them; flying, power, swimming, running, stamina). Need to Farm? A good area for drives would be Metal Harbor and Iron Gate.

Karate Master
Complete all the Chao Karate modes. You should defiantly have a high level Chao for this, and I even recommend having your Chao reincarnate at least once, and have high stats. Having maxed stats will pretty much mean victory for all the levels. Do not enter a Chao with an E or D ranked stats to Super though.

Speedy Racer
Unlock this by beating all 3 Kart Races. Is expert too hard? Try to unlock all of Knuckle's stages first (Possibly the easiest character to finish all stages with.) This will unlock his alternative Kart for the races. He has a good speed and acceleration with this kart, and it can help out a lot on this!

Boss Attack
Unlock this by beating all 3 Boss Attacks. This isn't very hard, as they have the Boss Attack time very high. If for some reason you seem to have trouble (Maybe on the Biolizard or Final Hazard), just stock up on lives. If your impatient, just load up Pumpkin Hill to get the life thats right in the beggining, or play a Lost chao level on City Escape. The later can get you over 9 lives in about 5-6 minuets if your good.

Emblem Collector
Unlocked once you reach 90 emblems (the halfway mark if you will). If you just do the main story alone, you will already have about 30 emblems. Just play at least up to everyon's chao level, and you will have this achivement in the bag! If your stuck on some levels, keep playing other's. Its actually very easy to get, regardless of A ranks.

Emblem Mania
Unlockes once you have All 180 Emblems, and will probably be the last Achivement you can unlock for this game (unless you avoid co-op, naming a chao, and unlocking the different guardens). You need to get all 180 Emblems, so pretty much everything listed in the list above is what you need.












As well as the main themes available from the start of the game (Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Eggman, Rouge, and the Secretary, if you know about her that is), there is also 3 other Themes you can unlock! To find them, just complete these hidden goals within the game, and they will eventually be available in the Black Market (Chao World). Don't be discouraged if you cannot find a theme, as they appear randomly once the goal has been met. If they are not there, leave the Chao World, play a level or two, then just come back!

Omachao
10,000 Rings
Appears randomly in the Black Market. In the Gamecube version of the game, it was unlocked after 100 emblems were obtained. This is still likely to be the case.

Amy
20,000 Rings
Appears randomly in the Black Market. In the Gamecube version of the game, it was unlocked after obtaining "2 Chao Race emblems, and all Action stage emblems", however, This is up for debate, as I can tell you I have this theme, yet never finished all of the missions. I was able to buy it, however after 120 Emblems, (And I have seen it being bought by people with less then 155 emblems...). Safe to say that you need to jsut be patient and have a lot of emblems.

30,000 Rings
Appears randomly in the Black Market. In the Gamecube version of the game, it was unlocked after 180 emblems were obtained and connecting Sonic Advance 1 or 2. Since the later part is no longer possible, This theme is likely to be obtainable after all 180 emblems.


Did you think that the Achievements and themes where the only real rewards? Nope, once you obtain all 180 Emblems, a new spot on the map will appear (You can see where it will appear, on that lone octagon-shaped island at the bottom of the map). Once all 180 Emblems are obtained, a little black box with a '?' inside will appear. Clicking on this will allow you to play as Sonic in a completely 3D Version of Green Hill Zone!

Thats all there really is. Its not so much a Guide as this is a Check List. In game actually, you can just go under Options>Extra>Emblems to see which ones you are missing, but hey, some people just like to have a Typed up Guide along with the Times/Points needed. Either way, Good luck to everyone as they go out there Trying to get those A Ranks! It can take a lot of time, but If your a good fan, it can be VERY rewarding!
