ST: New Horizons TNG era start

  • TNG mode is activated via the 4 Pre-TNG Era Maps only
  • It is recommended to run with the submod, as this changes the date and removes certain empires
  • If you run without the submod and want to play UFP, select them from the Empire screen NOT United Earth/Vulcan/Andor or Tellar
  • Date only changes with the submod
  • There is a known 2-5min wait on loading the map, this is where the techs are added and the map is sorted. We have reduced this as far as possible for now... moaners will be fed to the Gorn.

Instruction:
---> new game ----> select your empire
---> pick one of the 2 new PRE TNG milky way maps (1400 and 3000 stars)

Just curious if by design is the system near orion supposed to be part of the neutral zone? Its so far away. Also arent they supposed to be female dominated>? Love your mod and thanks for your work.

Not sure if I asked this already, but shouldn't this start the UFP off with more territory and its more canonical TNG-era state?

Just tried the Roms on the 3k system map; same result as with the 1,400 system (pre-TNG) map. I just can't figure out how to actually do a TNG start.

Just subscribed to this mod to try a TNG start. The game does indeed have a 2300 start; but techs and ships are all 2150-era, instead of 2300-era. Is this intentional or a bug? The 2150-era mod is amazing, btw, and just keeps getting better and better. Thank you!

Don´t use the UFP for the Mirror Pre-TNG maps, as the UFP doesn´t exist in the Mirror Universe. There are empires specifically for the Mirror Universe Pre-TNG maps like, Terran Rebelion (2300s), Klingon-Cardassian Alliance (2300) and Republic of Hope (2300).

@Orion88 FIN When I do the Pre-TNG Milky Way Galaxy (mirror), both maps spawn with two sol systems. I only use the star trek mods listed. It doesn't happen with the non-mirror versions. I tested this 8/7/2024.

Would it be possible to create a Alpha/Beta quadrant only map for us with lower end systems. Alternatively a Dominion War Variant map.

@Lord Heath Try a Mirror-Pre-TNG map, like Pre-TNG Milky Way Galaxy (mirror).
