Spy Knife Overview
Knife
Knife (Stock + Reskins)
Reskins include Black Rose, Sharp Dresser, Saxxy, and Golden Frying Pan.
Level Status: Balanced My Rating: ****** (6/10)
To make things clear, all knifes are good in their own way, with different advantages and disadvantages. Therefore, I wouldn’t say that one is better than one another. There are all useful in the right situations, but a wrong loadout may be fatal for the spy. All knifes are good to keep and used in different game modes.
This is the most balanced knife for the spy, with no special abilities, but no disadvantages at the other hand. This is a great starter weapon for newbies and beginners.

Your Eternal Reward
Your Eternal Reward (+Reskins)
Reskins include Wanga Prick.
Level Status: Chain Stabbing + Mass Destruction My Rating: ***** (5/10)
Extremely hard to use knife. Normal knives require disguise then stab. But this knife changes the play style into stab to get disguise. It removes your disguise kit, so you will rely more on cloaking to get around or behind enemy lines or strongpoints. This knife allows you to immediately disguise as the enemy you backstabbed, with the silent killer effect, which means that enemies does not see your melee kills in the kill feed, excellent for chain stabbing and clearing out a whole bunch of enemies capturing or defending objectives, most probably control points, intelligence and australiums.
When dealing with sentry nests, find your disguise first. Do this by searching for unaware lone targets, usually a player at the frontlines or someone right out of spawn. After a successful stab, you are able to wipe out an entire sentry nest even with multiple sentries and engineers. Put the special effects of this amazing knife into use, the immediate disguise and the silent killer ability. Stab engineers one by one, be sure not to miss, or else the sentries would immediately kill you. Also, clear all engineers and enemies near the sentry nest before you sap, or else they would warned by the “Spy sappin’ my sentry’’ announcement of your presence. The rapid disguise prevents the sentries to shoot at you, encouraging stab and sap tactics. The silent killer ability also aids in sentry nests destruction because the enemies would be unnoticed of a spy around the objective or sentry nest.
It is not good to move slowly when you have a slow disguise (demomen, soldiers, and heavies). Drop the disguise to chase up a target by clicking the attack button. It is super effective when disguised as a heavy, or you will rarely manage to chase and then kill enemies, even if they are other heavies or soldiers.
This knife is good for experienced spies who are sure of their trick-stabbing skills and their ‘instincts’.

Big Earner
Big Earner
Level Status: Stealth My Rating: ******** (7/10)
Gains 30% cloak on kill, but a cost of 25 max health deduction. This knife allows you to move stealthily behind enemy lines with a lot of cloak, but on the other hand, you are vulnerable to explosives, as they would kill you with a single direct hit. Make sure you do not run blindly into the heat of battle, as you will most probably die.
This knife does not pair well with the stock invisibility watch, as the fallen weapons from your kill would replenish enough cloak so that other knives may work better than this. This knife also does not work well with the cloak and dagger, because the cloak restore rate of the watch is greatly increased. The Bid Earner works best with the Dead Ringer, since you would be able to constantly activate it, provided you pick up ammo boxes and get backstabs. The Dead Ringer could not be activated only unless if the cloak is fully charged.
When pairing this knife with the L’Etranger, you would get a even larger bonus of cloak because of the revolver’s ability. Using the Dead Ringer would be even more effective, since the revolver’s effects removed the reduction of cloak time, and getting backstabs with the Big Earner and hits from the L’Etranger could quickly charge up your cloak meter.
However, this knife is not as effective at maps which are small or with many ammo boxes, like king of the hill game mode maps. This knife works best in large maps where ammo boxes are rare, like control point game mode maps or capture the flag game mode maps.

Conniver's Kunai
Conniver’s Kunai
Level Status: Survivability My Rating: ********* (9/10)
The advantages and disadvantages of this knife are clear. With a reduction of over 50% max health, you are extremely vulnerable. Even a single melee hit from any class except the spy would instantly kill you. This knife is recommended for experienced players who know the map well and confident in his skills. When using this knife, make sure you know all alternate and flanking routes. Or else, rushing into battle blindly will result in instant death.
After each stab, you could absorb all the health from your target, up to an overheal of 180 health. You could easily survive a gunfight against weaker classes and kill them with your revolver or a trickstab. You could also remain alive if anyone spots you after you make a successful stab, provided your target has lots of health. When being spy checked, never let them hit you or pretend unhurt if you don’t have a lot of health. At the same time, if you have over 150 health, it might be a good idea to let them hit you and pretend you are uninjured and a teammate to your spy checkers.
Using this knife is good to pair with any revolver or invisibility watch, so feel free to do so. At the same time, be aware of your other equipment’s special abilities and use them well to your favour to maximize the effect and power of the spy.
Always keep an eye on your health bar to know when to rush in and whether you can survive or not. Always think before you act with this knife, and use your overheal to your advantage. Sometimes when pursued, even if by pyro, try to get a stab on the way if possible, it might save you with the increased health and buy enough time to reach your teammates, the health pack, or recharge your cloak meter.

Spy-Cicle
Spy-cicle
Level Status: Fire Proof+ Chain Kills My rating: ********* (9/10)
This is the perfect weapon for amateur/nearly advanced spies. It also has silent killer ability, at the cost of turning enemy corpses into ice statues. The other major advantage is that it could put out fire by melting your own weapon for 15 seconds. It is a bit similar to the eternal reward, except that you could disguise and the fireproof effect.
The Spy-Cicle pairs well with the Dead Ringer as the complete anti-Pyro loadout. Using the Cloak and Dagger allows deep undercover even if ignited accidentally by a spy-checking pyro. It’s good to use a lethal revolver when using the Spy-Cicle, just to provide an alternative if you lost your weapon, the Enforcer or the Ambassador is recommended.
It really sucks every time I see a whole bunch of distracted and unsuspecting enemies right in front of me and losing my weapon at the same time. 15 seconds is obviously a very long time, though. This weapon really sucks for expert spies who knows how to trickstab and loves to go for them whenever possible. If a pyro is chasing them, they are doomed. It is important to activate your cloak before or right after your weapon is melt, since you couldn’t really do anything at all other than taking out your revolver and pulling off random shots in all directions.
