United States Capitol
The United States Capitol, often called The Capitol or the Capitol Building, is the seat of the United States Congress, the legislative branch of the federal government. It is located on Capitol Hill at the eastern end of the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Central sections of the present building were completed in 1800. These were partly destroyed in the 1814 Burning of Washington, then were fully restored within five years. The building was enlarged in the 1850s by extending the wings for the chambers for the bicameral legislature, the House of Representatives in the south wing and the Senate in the north wing. The massive dome was completed around 1866 just after the American Civil War. Like the principal buildings of the executive and judicial branches, the Capitol is built in a neoclassical style and has a white exterior. Both its east and west elevations are formally referred to as fronts, although only the east front was intended for the reception of visitors and dignitaries.

This asset was commissioned by CDBRG.

PLEASE NOTE
This is a very big building with many details and as a result uses a lot of tris. As an example, the building has over 350 columns. I have optimised the geometry as much as I can without compromising the quality. As it's a unique building that would be at the centre of any city I think it's worth the hit it would have on a less capable computer's performance.

I've made a point of this so it's not necessary to put it in the comments.

Details
Footprint

Geometry
243K tris, 633 tris LOD
Textures
2048 x 2048, LOD 256 x 256

The asset can be found in the Unique Buildings tab.

Lighting
This asset exclusively uses Armesto's Spotlight Props Pack for its lighting. If you don't subscribe to it everything will be dark.

Decals
This asset uses a decal of TDBs Decal Pavement Series for the surrounding grounds.

All sub-buildings use the same textures so if you use the Loading Screen mod the textures will be shared by all the elements and this will reduce any load on your machine.

I've tried to make this asset as realistic as possible and therefore the geometry tri count is high and the textures large. All of the texture elements have been created specifically for this asset in order for full control over the final look.

Please try this asset out and if there are any problems let me know in the comments below.

@The Critz Himself - because complex stuff like this isn't the kind of thing you just woke up one day and "hei lets do it for no reason". 😂 You need very good reason and motivation to jump onto such project.

@Rynorama13 You can use it without the lights or the decal but they will be missing. All the external lights use the 'Spotlights Prop Pack' so the building will not be lit up at night.
